I think the tokens containing privacy such as Zencash, will be held. Information such as who has what, what it does, and send to whom, it may need to be kept secret in some cases. Because of this reason, it will be useful. As other mono, zcash, dash-like coins increase, people will go to cheaper alternatives like it. One of them will be zencash.

i hope i would be able to put up my masternode...eventually... i hate the fuckers who play with the difficulty of the network.. devs... put the diff to adjust on a average of 100 or 500 blocks because those fucks only come to take a lot of blocks with a shitload of hashpower and disappear hashing again their desired coin, leaving us to mine at insane difficulties.
Change of the difficulty algorithm needs a hard fork and is not something we are planning to do.

I share your opinion, this is even better system now, secure nodes provide even more reliable and more secure network, and they can get additional,  different tasks in the future. There are over 7200 secure nodes online and this number increasing.

ZenCash Updates in a Flash

We say what we're going to do, and then we do it!

We're all about transparency, keeping our word, and our integrity. A key part of showing this is through our biweekly community call updates. We've joined new exchange listings, implemented organizational scaling, our community now offers 7,000+ Secure Nodes, our marketing continues to deliver results, and our new business development is quickly growing globally. 2018 is already off to a great start, and there's so much more to come.

We're so glad you're with us!
A recent accomplishment is our listing on OKEx, one of the largest exchanges by trading volume in the world. This is a big deal! We have three trading pairs: BTC, ETH, and our first USDT. Plus, a major marketing campaign focused on OKEx's traders launching in a few weeks. We not only aim to join new exchanges, but capitalize on each exchange intelligently, so traders know about Zen and use us.
What Everyone Wants to Know...
Our Secure Node Update
We have over 7,000+ Secure Nodes in our system, so we are fast approaching one of the most decentralized architecture in crypto currency, if not the world!

Payments are happening on a weekly basis, and the phantom downtimes are under review to so everyone is credited. We want to ensure we're taking care of the community, and everyone is paid.

NOTICE: please update any old nodes running on 0.1.0 to 0.2.1 now.
Organizational scaling from 5 to 50
The community asked, and we delivered. We've worked very hard to ensure the right people are in the right teams, and our fantastic directors are now leading the following departments: Engineering, User Experience, Marketing, Business Development, Operations, and Research & Development. Learn more to discover all of team members. Each team works to ensure Zen's Success!

I wanted to thank you also for the amazing and quick job on the zend, fixing the block indexing issue. Great achievements last few months, all promises kept. Keep up the good work.

Can someone explain to me why zencash is so ridiculously over mined right now? Difficulty has skyrocketed over the last day and hasn't come back down, despite there being more profitable coins to mine. I hate swapping what I mine too much when everything is running stable but this is a huge difference.

new to mining ? Difficulty goes up and down with multipool (MPH, Nicehash, etc) and farms switching from one coin to another. Nothing new here. In fact, difficulty is actually low now.

I assume that Arizen users shouldn't do anything, as far as I know is auto-updating. Switched to arizen recently and all I can say is that I like it.

yes Arizen doesnt need to be upgraded!
Arizen doesnt have daemon (doesnt have zend / doesnt have full node) so only the API (that url in Arizen settings ) providers will have to upgrade.

Yeah it dropped back down. Not new to mining but the difficulty skyrocketed for a while to point where it was almost twice as profitable to mine something else. Usually there is some fluctuation up and down but that amount of fluctuation I hadn't seen before on zencash.

I'm having troubles opening the ZenCash Wallet. It keeps saying "Cannot connect to server, EOF reached"

I tried deleting the .conf, as well as re-downloading the wallet.

Any know how to make the wallet work?

Always doubt.

How many coins required for one ZenCash secure nodes, dev? Which specifications/ features make secure nodes different or better than masternode? thanks.
Secure Node Criteria
Each of the following criteria must be met and maintained for a Secure Node to be eligible to recieve a share of the reward pool. These items may be added to or modified at any time.

Must maintain a balance of at least 42 ZEN in a 'stake' transparent address
Must maintain a minimum balance of .001 ZEN in a private address on the node for challenges
Must be available with minimal exception time for at least 92% of an earning period (appox. 1 day)
Must perform a challenge in under 300 seconds
Allow 8 or more peers by allowing public connections on the configured zen port (default 9033)
Must maintain a valid public SSL cert properly configured for zen
Must not fall behind the current block height by more than 4 blocks
Must update to current versions of the zen and/or tracker software within the posted time frame

Zencash Secure Nodes are similar to Masternode but focus more on securing private transactions. Whole communication between nodes, and and nodes is encrypted. Also current number of nodes ensuring most resilient and the most secure network.

The reason for this  is usually that zend has not started properly and the GUI wallet cannot connect to it, (Avoid shutting down or restarting OS before closing wallet).

On Windows you first have to locate zend.exe. It is in the /app sub-directory of the wallet installation. The console/cmd needs to have as current directory the /app sub-directory of the wallet installation for the command zend -reindex to work. Reindexing normally takes a few hours only.

You shouldnt mine a single currency though. Use an autoswitcher with an autoexchange like MPH. You would get 15% to 20% more ZEN this way.

so suddenly all the zend (6 diff Swing wallets on 6 diff computers here) around the world started having problem at the same time ? Wow, just wow.
