the want to build up a marketplace for your data, which you want to sell or not for data buyers. you will be paid trough dat tokens by the buyer and you can set up conditions and terms on how your date should be sold to data buyers.

overall, you will get finally money instead of that for example, fb makes money behind your datas you provide them

I have overflown the whitepaper. When I have time i ll read the hole one. Up to than, can someone answer me, what "normal" users can do with the tokens. Are they able to change them into fiat inside the App, or do they need to go to an extern Exchange?

i dont get how we can control our data which this internet corporation already got hold. Does datum provide a way of certification and timestamping ? so we can claim the data belongs to us ? I dont really see how this is practical.. maybe i need more info ?

This has also been asked frequently in telegram and according to the dev the team is working on the alpha version.

The release of beta version is planned for December 2017, at least that's what is said in the roadmap.

I am not 100% sure if it was already asked before or if it had been stated somewhere but how much did they raise during their pre-sale? Looking a the website it seems for me that all tokens for the 5000 ETH were sold out. Is this true? That would mean that there is a huge interest in this project.

Yes, seems that presale was sold out and they raised 5k ETH. If I remember right, they offered big bonusses, I think up to 80 or 90% during the first days of presale.

So this means the SC is already reached, nice. Do you know how long it took the pre-sale to be sold-out. I just stumbled accross this project and I must say I like the idea and now I see that they already have an successful pre-ICO. Looks all in all very promising.

Why there is a very big gap between the soft cap and the hard cap?

More than 30x.

the soft cap needed to be reached in order to develop and advertise the coin a little more leading up to the ICO. The hard cap doesn't need to be reached, they're just aiming for that amount as a best case scenario.

From that 153,000 ETH hard cap, i think it means this project has a very big potential and so many developments they have planned to do with more and more raised amount.

Interesting approach to monetize big data... almost gives me chills to actually try to sell it. Like i have to keep in mind that i am already give it away for free, but then when comes the possibility to sell it, i am suddenly very interested that who is buying it and what for .
