I would like to know if Datum already has partners who are willing to purchase the data (personal information) that is being collected?
I think if Datum don't has partners at this moment - it's surely will be happen soon, the demand for such things is in fact a huge.

I do not think, that you are able to choose the companies, with whom you Chateau your data. maybe im wrong but im pretty sure that the Datum team will make deals with some companies and everytime you sell your data, you will Share it with these companies
In the whitepaper there is mention a marketplace. From that word I get the impression there is interaction from both sides. But you are saying that the marketplace is for data consumers to browse through and the users have no say in it? So with this marketplace will there be the possibility to make some kind of auction for your data? The company that offers the most, get the data?

The way it is described suggests you can negotiate with data consumers. The User receives a data purchase request with the details such as purchaser and price offered. He can agree to the purchase request or counter offer with a modified proposal.Seems like it could be a time consuming process though. But it depends on what kind of prices we are talking about. If it is really in the $2000 ballpark...

It's an interesting concept but I'm not sure how will it perform against laws - seems to affect data protection in a way governments have not foreseen.
Well, there is no problem in selling personal datas if the user accepts it. The problem if the treatment or the personnal datas and the way they are recolted. Yes but the problem is, most of the time you dont even know which data are you giving away. In the wrong hands, it can be manipulated and i am sure this is already happening.

I can imagine it can be quite difficult for the average user to estimate the worth of his data, so a system where the companies have to compete with each other is in the end good for the users.

It will be too complicated and you could sell your data only once. By marketplace they mean something like eBay of data with unlimited listings

profits with your own data won't make you millionaire, bu it will be a welcome cash that will encourage you to create more and be more active, but the other half of the coin is that this could be exploited, hackers taking tons of data and sell it throughout datum could be bad, I know hackers will find a way, so one must be careful.

4. Share with everyone That seems like a really bad option No minimum fee so anyone get your personal data for free and resell it. Maybe useful if you want to make an anti-consumerist statement or something. That's actually what some careless people have been doing the whole time You could say everybody. Just look at good ads
