Agree! Datum has a strong foundation and as long as the developer remains focus on the project, Datum can last longer. The data are unlimited and will exist with human existence.

Big data is so weirdly creepy. This just happeded: I just went to MacDonalds, maybe my phone automatically joined their wi-fi or something, but when i got home, for the first time my local food shop gives me an ad on facebook about home recepies on hamburgers.

It's all interconnected man, you data, your location, browsing habbits etc. It's why there's a need for this project.

Normally that add come from Google. When you have Google maps installed on your smartphone it automatically know where you have been.
It tracked you and saw you were at McDo zo they give you ads

It would be great if the app of Datum could block all this and store it in there app, so you have control and could sell .

I am not sure datum will any functionality about blocking them. Only you can do stop using their apps and programs. Datum will only make you earn some money for something you are giving for free.

you are correct. this is what people need to understand. if the product is free, then you are the product. these companies use your data, either to sell to third parties or use on their own platforms.

To get back to the core of starting a blockchain company: why is Datum on the blockchain at all? If they want to reach a big audience would it not be smarter to use fiat currencies for payment instead of DAT tokens? They  can still use BigChainDB and IPFS, but I do not see the case for DAT tokens.

I mentioned this a few times in this thread, some people think of immediate profit and this causes the terrible evictions, this is a project that will have long life and much future progress, it only depends on the Team to adapt Datum over time there are other segments, and potential for it they have

According to gartner group, millions of companies exploit them and in the future this exploitation will become a real need and will be adopted by most companies even by traders and local shops so that they can adpater their offer to the needs of clients and that's where datum comes in and simplifies this process.

Well , its already a risk to meet people looking for quick profits if you open an ICO.
You cant blame them because ICOs are actually an opportunity for investors to generate profits, the question is theyre looking for long term profts or quick profits.
