Perfectly said. In some situations , we do have to sell in a loss but we do have to see if we could recover the amount we spent in a loss. If there is an opportunity where we can recover the loss we are going to have currently then we should definitely go for that opportunity. May be we could buy back the coin at a lower price after recovering from the loss. If there is no opportunity, then we probably just wait. At some point the coin will definitely rise up and yield profit. The important thing here to remember is, never invest all of your money in a signle coin. We should diversify our money and atleast keep 20 % to buy something in future.

And how would you classify or determine low price? It may be that you bought coin on pump and price never jump to that high again in years.
Best thing to do is to pick only those coins which are mature enough. With maturity I mean established coins. Rest hodling assures that you will surely gonna have profit. Consider LTC 500% rise, ETH 1500% rise, BTC 300% rise, DOGE 300% rise in just one year. That's enough to say.

Indeed, not as easy as it sounds. Especially when greed kicks in...at times it feels like sexual urges, incredibly hard to control and not give in. I do not try to day trade anymore, because it's essentially gambling. I've made some lucky calls in the past, but got burned big time in some situations. I do have a portfolio with large positions in top 15 coins, largest being btc and eth, obviously. I ride the wave in bull runs and try to determine how close we are to the bubble popping. Exit everything, rinse and repeat when the market bottoms out.

So you are a break-out trader mate. There are many who are saying that technical analysis is not effective in crypto trading because it is more dependent on news but I beg to disagree as technical analysis is still effective especially when the volume is high. The more traders the coin has, the more applicable the technical analysis is because many are using it so there is a higher tendency that there will be the same support and resistance that the traders are looking or targeting so you can have a speculation what price you will buy and sell. Most of the TA traders are using the same indicators so the target price level and strategy would be more or less the same.

But when is the right time? If there is an opportunity where we can recover the loss we are going to have currently then we should definitely go for that opportunity. a lower price after recovering from the loss.
