It would make a great pr reaction video where someone would prank his friends to believe that a rusty old pc could play all these high end games.

This is the first time I see this sector in the blockchain. I do not remember being done like before. The cloud player in the industry is not common in some countries at the moment. but it may become available if it grows in the future. in my opinion, it is likely to take an investment because it is the first in the field.

You are right, they are the first ones who are implementing cloud gaming into blockchain and since they already have a working platform with 250k paying users, there is no way any other crypto cloud gaming project will ever come close in the future.

As you say they have a huge advantage over any other project that appears. This is what makes me invest in the project.

So if i got this right, you want us to run games on our GPU's?

I don't understand your question very well, that's not what we normally do? Play games on our GPUs (on our computers) ?
It's cloud-gaming project, not to play with our GPUs. Wink

The idea is simple, instead of using your gpu to mine cryptocoins, you will using to generate power for playing games in the cloud, so don't run the games, only the algorithm and hash for games, or a number of games to the users that pay for the service.

Is it as simple as you say? How to synchronize all power and hash  to playing games, have you got any ideas. Idk how to do it, it sounds impossible. Maybe there will be PC on which game will be started and translated to another user, but using algorithm and hash sounds crasy. But if it's true — sounds awesome.

anyways, this is one of the token i have to hodl for the next years, since i really think that it will go up in price slow and regularly.

time to get some more Smiley

Have you seen the example in the token economics section of the whitepaper? If that checks out, $0.10 to $27... I never thought a utility token could increase in price that much.

It would make a great pr reaction video where someone would prank his friends to believe that a rusty old pc could play all these high end games.

The reaction would probably be diminished by the fact that anyone could put in high-performing PC parts into an old PC case..

play key will help how people play games, but the technology and the idea is not new at all, it hasn't been mainstream because is still a new technology, so little people know about it, but with the blockchain, it will be known for more people.

If their dev teams are able to solve the latency problem or at least reduce it considerably, I have no doubt they can reach new heights. Maybe even acquired by Sony Cheesy
Hopefully they won't end up like http://onlive.com

The idea behind the project is not news, but the way they will make playkey work is disruptive, use the mining power to allow people to play games everywhere, playkey is really a nice project.

Latency is mostly closed by your computer and streaming server. It can be minimalized by better internet connection  Smiley

Yes of course.
But I meant the latency on the server side(processing, protocol, etc...). I remember http://onlive.com struggled hard with this problem. Ain't fun playing FPS games with 100-1000ms lag Grin

For gaming on PlayKey, of course not, that is the whole point: the newest, most demanding AAA games on low spec devices.

For mining on PlayKey, absolutely. You are essentially renting your high spec game rig to players.

The problem is there is nothing you can do to increase your ping, if you have the best connection available but bad ping you're fucked .

Never heard of CDN, apparently it's Content Delivery Network.

Looking at a pic from Wikipedia, I'd say they already have their own cdn in place.https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Content_delivery_network

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems that's the "miners" provide the network with, a distributed content network.

Wouldn't help with fiber connection with 1-4 ms, if the miners takes 100x that time to process and render the game. They didn't state how they solve this issue in the whitepaper, just that they have developed their own protocol based on UDP.
This can be interesting.

Are they planning provide Linux support?
Yes, it's described in "development options" in white paper.
Currently, there are not that many games on linux. But I think gaming on linux will grow in the future. It's very good that the devs are aware of this market.
Game market on Linux definitely won't be growing any time soon but with playkey you still can play there  Wink

If you can play with Playkey on Linux the game market has no longer to grow, because you can play anyways.
