I am asking this just to see the different opinions of Bitcoin community about its long term potential
I know Bitcoin is actually strong enough and stable as well
But what do you think about it after 100 years ?
It can survive I think as long as many people are already working trading and investing to bitcoin it can bloom so soon

I remember people asking as if bitcoin may survive in 10 years and I was answering like "probably?" But 100 years is too long. I think bitcoin may evolve to something even bigger or drop dead in 100 years.

You can see that bitcoin has a bright future. It has gone up and down so many times, but everything seems to be ok. People get to know about it more and more. And maybe after 10 years, 20 years, it will be main trading method in the world. About 100 years later, we still don't know about bitcoin's destiny.

Bitcoin have lot of potentials. Max people think that is just for trade and earn but only few know the concept behind it. If you have seen 2017, numbers of business are launched presenting great ideas in form of ICO's. Yes we can see lot of frauds and worse coins in market but soon we'll see some kind of rules and regulation to avoid certain things. Its something like to build a huge economy from scratch believe me it does not belongs to a country but its a world level economy that will last for long.

I am very confused to answer your question. But I think Bitcoin will be able to survive for hundreds of years if Bitcoin can always keep up with the times and enthusiasts Bitcoin should always be many from year to year. High Bitcoin prices, this is a very profitable thing.

BTC has that much potential that it can provide employment to millions of people throughout many decades and it is very very stable cryptocurrency among all and I guess one should not doubt in its potential and stability because with in the very short span of time, it has gained the interest of millions of investors and is accepted world wide and moreover few countries has accepted BTC as a mode of transactions and I guess these evidences are quite enough to prove the stability of BTC.

After 100 years and more I think btc is still alive. The value is still volatile, but the application and use of btc is vast. More people and country will recognize btc and use it for payments or any other financial transactions and services. Btc will have more investors and everything will fall into new technology based lifestyle- block chain.

I do not think it will, in my opinion it will be replaced by a better technology. There is possibility it just dies out as well, who knows. Imagine what the technological advance will be in 100 years.

In a hundred years there will be no bitcoin, I'm sure of it. The world is changing too fast and evolving, technologies are changing every few years. In a hundred years the world will change very much.

No doubt 100 years is a long term and it's difficult to predict about anuthing. But bitcoin is rather powerful and it is possible bicoin will become a recognized global currency officially and will be accepted everywhere.

It is possible that bitcoin will survive 100 years but it is unsure if it still have its value. Since it is impossible to predict the future but making hypotheses that bitcoin is still alive but lower price since there might be new currency that exist that time.

Bitcoin has the potential to replace our existing monetary system. Right now bitcoin is dominating the cryptocurrency market and yes it will remain that way for a couple of years, maybe decades or a hundred years. One thing is certain crytocurrencies will be our main currency 100 years from now.

Hmm well I may or may not be alive in 100 years time but if bitcoin is still alive by then, the value will be very higher than it is now. And I think bitcoin will still be alive then

There are only two options. Bitcoin can become a world currency, or it will be forgotten and will use something else. In a hundred years we can live in another galaxy, maybe there will not be any money at all.

100 years is a very long time and hard to predict, 100 years ago of course everyone never thought that the progress of transportation and communication could be like this, maybe then people think that the horse will survive until now, but the fact is not, just like bitcoin it may be difficult to survive for another 100 years.

Yes no doubt that 100 Years is really a big time to predict but still i think that the growing interest of the people can predict tat still bitcoin has to much potential and even after 100 years bitcoin will surely survive. To me bitcoin is becoming the basic payment method for the people, they will try to use bitcoin for more of their activities.

100 years? 10 years I still doubt because Bitcoin will probably be a bubble in the future. And supply bitcoin near full, for today alone, is almost 17 million of 21 million maximum. And if it reaches a maximum supply then it will not be able to mine again. But it will change if bitcoin dev creates Bitcoin 2.0.
But we'll see. For that let's pray that Bitcoin can be a valuable future asset beyond diamonds. And hopefully, it will be created a Bitcoin 2.0.
