Of course I am very sure. Bitcoin and its systems are very appropriate and effective for the digital era. Modern society is very fond of speed and ease, so this is most effective

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Bitcoin is actually strong enough and stable as well. but btc will survive that long? Maybe it can? or there will be more coins comin out in the future that will much better than what bitcoin is now. And will take over the spot.
or in 100years, bitcoin gonna worth a lot of million dollars ....

Bitcoin lifespan also depends on the people patronizing it, it may change in value in the years to come, increase or decrease as long as number of people still using it and still appreciate its benefits in our lives, it will still exist... I think bitcoin will survive not only 100 years but many more, plus its already in the internet it will stay forever as long as internet exists... If the survival you are referring to is the value of bitcoin, we cant be sure if bitcoin will still be valuable in the next few years and more altcoins will be release that may surpass bitcoins in the future somehow.

I say yes it will surely survive and remain relevant after100 years because many Countries of the world are now accepting bitcoin as a means of exchange and in as much as internet remains there is no limitation to e-market. And Bitcoin remains the No.1 cryptocurrency in the world.

I am asking this just to see the different opinions of Bitcoin community about its long term potential

I know Bitcoin is actually strong enough and stable as well

But what do you think about it after 100 years ?
Definitely yes, bitcoin can survive a 100 years or more than a hundred years. As long as the people are using it, there is no reason that bitcoin will gone. And I think people will still develop and innovate bitcoin and other cryptos so that It will surely survive.

Bitcoin is not even 10 years old now. To think about whether it will exist 100 years is waste of time in my opinion. The developments in the crypto world are always fast and innovative. Perhaps there will soon be a new development that will replace the crypto currencies as we know today. In 2006 no one would have thought that there could be a decentralized currency without central banks or central maintainers. One must think the impossible.

wow,did you think that after 100 years we still alive and until that time we can follow bitcoin...
maybe we can transfer it to new generation of our family and if people continue to follow about bitcoin maybe it can survive for a long years or rather say everlasting investment and continue also to helping people to survive there needed in life...

Bitcoin will survive as long as people want and support this. We must to believe and let bitcoin what it has become: a long-term store value.
I agree. The survival of Bitcoin is depends on people; if people will keep using and support it, Bitcoin will stay or last longer. In 100 years, there are a lot of possibilities to happen, bitcoin can grow more or no longer exist.
the only problem bitcoin has,is the rising alts as they are now stabilizing their position thru services they are offering.im pretty sure that bitcoin will stay together with alts in the next years, but the question is ,will bitcoin hold the top and being the high valued position?this is what we need to consider as lots of issue is being thrown to the said coin now that needed to be resolved

I don't know because everyone cannot predict what happen in bitcoin in after 100 year. But if the growth of bitcoin and its growth will continue next year it is assured that it can survive after 100 year.

Our civilization is likely not to last another 100 years, for so many reasons that it makes no sense to list here. So I guess Bitcoin has even less chances to survive. Unless Skynet takes over the world and it uses Bitcoin to handle its internal economy Wink

We just don't know yet since anything can happen any time of the day. But if the demand of the people will always remain, then i think bitcoin will also survive even for hundreds of years to come.

If the world hasn't end yet, by that time there might be a new innovation, but the concept of bitcoin will still be the foundation of all coins.

My friend from another country told me that bitcoin will be banned soon and I said it will not, but to be honest, I bothered when I hear those things to him because everything is possible in this world. If we are talking about fiat, then yes, it has already survived for 100 years and since bitcoin is also a currency that is used for transactions, then maybe it will also survive or maybe it can also replace fiat in other country.

I believe non of us here will be able to answer this question after 100 years. The only thing that matters now is we are benefiting and profiting from it and just let the next generation of bitcoiners handle its future.

I think 100 years later everyone may know about cryptocurrencies, because the cloud technology is developing very fast. Just like the current e-commerce market, few people know it 10 years ago, and now it has spread all over every age group.

today bitcoin prices are falling, perhaps if more and more countries are legalizing bitcoin, bitcoin will last up to 100 years, because bitcoin is affected by the policy of a country that uses bitcoin like china and japan, but jepa is better than china because there is bitcoin is legal

I believe after 100 years bitcoin is still alive, and the greatest success of bitcoin will be the global currency of of all. This will surely happen, because in this present time bitcoin is already the accepted currency of all exchanges in every nation where bitcoin is not declared as illegal by the government. Also the number of people who is fully aware of bitcoin is growing and majority has a good words for bitcoin.
