i suggested a possible solution to the alt issue abusing a giveaway via pm to stunna

I think that its more important to accommodate new players than to prevent abusing from alts.
So i would even suggest to remove that rule for new players to have 0.0001 btc wagered to be able to chat.

Yes its pretty easy to get that much wagered with faucet but some of the new players don't even realize there is faucet , i also when i came to pd for the first time didnt know there is a free faucet till i got that information on chat. Chat should be place where new players can ask questions and get some help to get started with playing dice and also bitcoin.

Yes it would mean more spamming and more abuse for giveaways on the chat and also make more work for mods but legitimate new players that might be new to bitcoin will have connivance of getting help from the community.

i mean to be honest the issue of alts abusing a giveaway has nothing to do with the min amount wagered.

99% of the alts i have seen are old accs with random amounts over .001 wagered.

I suggested to have random time intervals over a 24hr period in which a rain occurs to active chatters.(x chats per minute)

So unless the alt is spamming chat for 24/7 they can't abuse it that well

I dont have any problem in my bandwith when im connected to primedice. Maybe try to use other browser. Are you using 3rd party bot for pd?

You can change the all bet into my bet or the high roller section because the all bet section is taking alot of bandwith and taking some RAM from your computer too, this will reduce your bandwith consumption .PD still got the smoother load than the other site around here

Yes having the that "All Bets" tab selected take more resources than having the other two (My Bets or High Rollers) so if you are having that open while playing switch to one of the other 2.

Thanks to all in this quote and shulio and cbase too.  I usually do put it just on my bets and the interesting thing is that I forgot to the last couple of days which is when I really started getting concerned because I'm on a metered internet connection and am running up on my cap this month.  I set it to just 'my bets' and will reset my glasswire program and recheck it in a few hours to measure it.

grendel25, another thing you can do, thanks to the reasonably simple and easy-to-use PD api, is just send your bets through a command line interface.  You won't have any graphics or additional info coming down that you don't request.  Probably this is the ideal way to play on PD if you have a metered connection.  I've posted some starter scripts for you to do this in the past in gambling.  I can dig them up for you if you need them.
