Is nobody bothered by the fact that I used the marketplace listed in the OP but there is no way to pay for it and no one contacts me about this purchase. So is a fake site just to draw attention?

The marketplace is only for listings. All the transactions/dealings are done through escrow or directly with the seller. The seller and buyer do everything themselves.

If that is the case, then you should let the seller know you will leave a negative feedback if he doesn't get back to you.  This will let other buyers know not to waste time with this seller.

I find it is extremely hard to get enough work to solomine. cgminer just goes to the backup pools that I am using to provide new block detection. Anyone got some tips on how to fix this problem? I had 20 connected peers in digitalcoin-qt at the time and I followed the OP's suggestion about rebuilding the node/peer list to only give good ones, but seems the problem still exists...

I believe that is how it supposed to work if you have failover.  It goes to the backup pool for new block detection to prevent you from working on a block that's already been solved.

Yes, there was a problem with it but it has been resolved. Sorry for the late reply. For future reference, our help desk or official pool thread is the best place to get fast support and it also helps keep this thread strictly for the coin discussion  Smiley

Sorry I think you misunderstood what I meant because my question was not very clear. I am using pools to give new block detection like all good solo miners should be. However my problem is that the pool 0 (127.0.0.1...) can't get enough work to do and so it resorts to the pools for work.

EDIT: I think I just found the problem, by solving another problem. I started to mine on some pools deliberaly and then noticed very high stales on 3 of 4 of my GPU (about 5-7%). The problem was my intensity setting was far too high (18) and changing it to lower values has helped (1-3%). Now when I go back to solo mining I have not seen cgminer report the error that pool 0 (127.0.0.1) is not providing work fast enough. This doesn't seem to be a problem for me on scrypt altcoins with slower block frequencies.

EDIT EDIT: It's still falling back to the pools for work... cgminer maintains that it is connected to 127.0.0.1 with LP but I still see it submitting shares to the backup pools. Its about 20 shares per 10 minutes so I am just going to ignore the problem for now, I am finding blocks solo mining while the occasional pool shares will be stacking up for eventual cash out...

Throwing 8 mh/s on this pool.  Seems solid with about a 2% reject rate.  Could use some more traffic though.

I wish they would take on DGC, with CNC going in two days, they need something new for the traders, and I think DGC is the best potential candidate.

Restart the client with -rescan in the command line and see if that helps.

I've mentioned in this thread and via PM to Baritus that I'm in the process of producing some promotional items and products for digitalcoin (and some other alt. coins in fact)...

Forum member tjb0607 has very kindly produced some quality high-resolution vector graphics for Digitalcoin and is happy for the community to reuse them as required.

Download Link: http://www.mediafire.com/download/irt4rapykvgpth8/Digitalcoin-Logos.zip

I have sent 20 XPM to tjb0607 and propose to send an additional 100 DGC myself (as an extra thank you) if anyone else would consider donating or perhaps matching my offer in increments, as a bonus for producing these excellent graphics.
