Anyone know of a site that is maintaining current hashrates of the different coin networks?  I know there are different sites calculating estimated profitability, but it would be nice to see what is currently being hashed at what rate and even some historical data on those rates as well.

Any ideas?

DGC is the coin so nice he listed it twice Wink

Cool, thanks!  Is that your site, Cartman?  If so, how do you choose the coins to include or not?  Just curious.

If you google "dgc currency" the top results are for Digital Gold Currency which is not a cryptocurrency, but "An electronic, private currency backed by gold bullion".  Not that it's a big issue here, but just something to be aware of...

Have had good experience one several of nearmiss's pools:

http://digitalcoin.scryptmining.com - nearmiss | 2% | stratum | PPS | New York, NY, United States (ServerStack)

Just checked and pool is currently at 75 MHash.

+1 on nearmiss' pools.  Mined there a couple weeks and it's nice to have a PPS option out there.

Thanks for the positive feedback!  Though to be fair, my pool isn't PPS (sorry, was already mentioned earlier, thought first post was fixed by now!). Its proportional payouts per block @ 5 confirms.  Basically the same as PPLNS, but without the whole sliding target of share counting over mutiple blocks/never quite know if your getting what you should at the start/end...because, well, its 20 second block times! You get paid for any shares you submitted between the last block and current one, relative to what the pool as a whole submitted.  If you want to hop pools in the span a few minutes, between the pool finding blocks, be my guest!  The problems PPLNS were built to solve don't really apply to DGC, imo. So pay out right away for all your mining power I say  Smiley

Profit-Switching Pool w/ Vardiff -> http://hashco.ws  Optionally keep the alts we mine or auto-trade for BTC. In addition can be paid out in any of: 365, AC, BC,  BTC, C2, CINNI, COMM, FAC, HBN, MINT, PMC, QRK, RDD, WC, XBC

No it's not. Think it's ran by tyrion70. Just passing along the info...it's so hard to find sometimes. I reached out to him to be able to put some of that stuff on my site and he graciously responded a code sample Smiley

Can anyone please tell me if this is a bug? Just opened my DGC client and saw that it is trying to sync. It shows that there are 268k blocks remaining on the sync, but it shows all my latest transactions (as of a couple days ago) as confirmed. Also, it says the last block received was generated 18 seconds ago.

Just restart your client. Your funds are safe. Sometimes there's some other coin's chain conflicting I think although I didn't see that  error for few days already. I guess the network is getting stronger.

Thanks for the confirmation. Did it and now everything looks fine!

Just wasn't sure if that was something I should worry about or not; figured something may be corrupted and with cryptos, I've learned (reading posts) that the smallest mistake can make you lose everything, :p.

This has been happening to me every single time I leave my wallet open in the background. Just have to keep restarting it when it pops up again... more a nuisance than anything else.

I noticed that this problem went away for me when I opened port 7999 to the computer running the wallet. It went from around 15 connections to over 60.

Ah, I came here for the same issue.
My DGC client keeps reverting to unsynced. I do have a WDC wallet open at the same time though so maybe that is it.

This is the result of someone actively trying to undermine the DGC network by operating as a false node. This is more an annoyance than anything and does not put your coins in danger in the slightest. As DGC grows and the network grows stronger this will become less of an issue and eventually cease entirely.

dgc.cryptocoinmine.com

Would start making much more coin for both the miners and CCE, if more people would throw some hash power at it.  Grin

It is at 0% fee (for now) and the bigger it gets, the more encouragement I have to get it switched over to PPS.

I have seen people ask about a PPS pool, but I need a large enough reserve of DGC to run that kind of  payment system.

FYI: I've been mining the pool for about 12 hours now (alot more in the past) and my dashboard and account don't show any recent credits. And the dash shows about 1/2 the shares compared to "pool top hasher" list which matches my CG miner report.  The pool has worked great in the past and the block luck fantastic but the dashboard and payout issue may scare away other miners.

The dashboard only shows the shares of the current round. I will get to work on displaying total unpaid shares now.

Payout issues? This is the first I have heard of it. Please tell me what issues you are having so I can fix it.

That doesn't sound good.

Dashboard makes alot more sense knowing its per round but I've been mining about 500khs for the past 6 or 7 blocks and don't see any payouts.  Is there a certain time of day the server pays out?  My miner name is the same as my screen name if you want to check.

EDIT UPDATE RESOLVED QUICKLY: Pay issue had only affected my account.  All other accounts were reviewed for the same issue. I had the pool's LongPoll url setup as the backup to the stratum link and the pool dropped me on a switchback. Admin kept me informed and resolved the issue that day.

P.S. The dashboard will only show the shares you put into each block and will reset when the block is complete. Its not an error, just different from most dashboards I've seen. Don't forget to "add your worker" after starting an account or you will be unable to connect. This should prevent you from doing crazy things like adding two links to the same pool in your config.

btw: http://dgc.cryptocoinmine.com has great share per block luck and I've never had a problem with payments in the past. I Definitely recommended this pool.

Yeah, I've found this with a lot of the coins... gotta search them directly or finding results is tough. Getting to higher ranks than some of those sites is going to take years of work too.

The credit to your account occurs after a found block has 120 confirms. I could lower this as I have bought up a reserve of DGC (Still would like to buy more at bulk), or just change the pool over to PPS which credits as fast as the cron job that does the calculations runs. (every minute on my pools)

Anyway I have sent you some database tables about your account, so you can confirm everything looks proper.

I would like to move this discussion to the mine thread, to avoid cluttering up the DGC thread.  Smiley

Just a quick note:

In response to some of the confusion about the sidebar user stats, I have rearranged the sidebar and labeled it more clearly.

To change the display accounting looks to be as much work as to switch the pool to PPS, so i will work on changing over to PPS instead.   Smiley

DGC went on Vircuerx - this means  few hundreds % up on price - so... Big fishes started mining.... when such a low difficulty...
If my hypothesis is not right please do correct falsifiability.

i just started a new pool: dgc.mining-foreman.org
it has vardiff stratum, 0% pplns fee, free auto payouts, dead worker mails and full block rewards
everything seems to be working great so far (i've experience with an ltc&ftc pool)
feel free to try it out and let me know how things run
I've some miners reporting very low reject rates
i'm also on IRC #mining-foreman
