Bitcoin network is secure, one thing that must become our concern is how we secure our wallet. The most secure wallet is wallet which not connected to internet because hackers are use internet to hack. I think the most secure online wallet is online wallet which has big brand name.

Not so secure knowing that it is decenyralized and the government has no control on it. There is no back up either.but bitcoin offers big opportunity and profit that makes ideal to grow money and have place for investment.

Hello pals,
Recently I introduced Bitcoin and cryptocurrency to my friends and family, they liked the concept but they asked me a question that I wasn't able to answer. Is Bitcoin really secure? What if a hacker was able to hack Bitcoin system/blockchain?Who manages Bitcoin security and what are the security measures taken to avoid hackers being able to steal Bitcoins? Why Bitcoin is not blocked for those who use it illegally by buying/selling in the deepweb market? What if governements ban Bitcoin because of these people?
I really appreciate if you  guys give me some answers
I think Bitcoin is safe, as long as we keep and maintain our account well, meaning that as long as our account and keywords are not published to others or fall into the wrong hands, I think our Bitcoin will be safe as long as we are not careless.

Bitcoin security depends on ourselves,So we must always be vigilant in keeping our account so hackers do not steal it,   my friend there who lost bitcoin it all because of carelessness, so the point is safe bitcoin as long as we are good at keeping.
I agree with what you have said. Careleesness will always be the reasons if someone might lose their bitcoin account or their wallet. Each and everyone should be responsible and be careful with their own stuff. Like for me for example, i put all the necessary codes and infos in a safe place.

Your bitcoin will be secure if you use offline wallet and you keep your private key and the rest that is needed to be kept. As long as you follow instructions then nothing will go wrong with your bitcoin.

To be fair to your friends and family, they are raising some legitimate questions and concerns that you need to take as a concern to yourself as well. As regards hacking, Bitcoin is relatively secure and safe. As compared to other blockchain, Bitcoin is much better. I think the Bitcoin core team is the group that manages the security matter of the Bitcoin blockchain. But as to what measures the team is taking to avoid getting hacked, I particularly don't know. Bitcoin is not blocked because it cannot easily be blocked. It is decentralized so there is no single entity that would control its use.

No, even though like everyone said it's untraceable. For some people, like police they could track your transaction. This is a way why police could arrested you if you fill funds for terrorism like the news a week ago. Also Bitcoin can get hacked from exchanges like EtherDelta did.

Bitcoin is really secure if we keep safely with care .Before starting bitcoin we have to create a wallet for security we can keep the bitcoin secure by using codes and numbers as passwords so it will be difficult for hackers to track it. There is also chances for the government to bring some limitations due to the misuse  .As humans are not perfect in all sense and the internet is accessible to all there will be  chances for hackers.

I also think that Bitcoin is much safer than other valuables items.
Security is in our hands, so it is up to us whether we can keep our bitcoin or not

Bitcoin is highly secure.  Just because it takes a long time for a transaction does not mean you will lose that money.

Bitcoin is very safe to use along with many other cryptocurrencies.
