from 2009 to 2017 the development is very good, and so far bitcoin can be said to be very safe or with altcoin, I think it is very safe, except your own carelessness, like showing your private key address in public place.
Yes of course bitcoin is very safe and that is the reason that bitcoin is getting popularity day by day in these 8 years bitcoin has increased its value hundreds of times. The more people aware of it the most the price of it will grow. It is the digital currency of the future. It will disappear the paper currency, because of the vast, easy and safe use of it anywhere in the world. So I feel that bitcoin is very safe and secure.

I think bitcoin is perfectly safe because bitcoin and cryptographic technologies have very strong security networks and are scattered all over the world.
No one can steal a bitcoin except for a user error forgetting to keep personal or accidentally deleted code.
So do not be afraid to invest in bitcoin because i think bitcoin is the bridge of success for the future.

Bitcoin was really safe and secured,  because you are the bank of your own bitcoin/altcoins. You have your password and the private, unless if you apply your stupidity to give it to someone else to whom you didn't know the person personally, that's what you called carelessness. But it is really secured, because of its decentralization.

Nobody can make interfrence with bitcoin and you, if you're make sure that you don't have virüs on your computer. If it's a private computer, and you use safe wallet where you have private keys, you won't have worries about your money.

Yes bitcoin is really secure. no one can steal bitcoin, except for our own carelessness. Smiley
The government can not be that easy to ban bitcoin transactions, because bitcoin is the future.

Yes it now secure and not easy to be hacked hy hackers. Even though its not that completely legalized still its secure from government. I agree that it will just now depend on us on how would be going to take care of every bitcoin that we have in our wallet. So take care and have back up to your wallet so that you can still recover it if something went wrong.

Even though the government has regulated bitcoin, they still cannot control all the privacy of our wallets, the government will only apply transactional taxes and nothing more, hackers are a serious problem and we must equip ourselves with increased experience and responsibility. The use of hardwallet is the best way to prevent it.

I think that's also the best thing to do.Although i can say that bitcoin is really secure,we still have to be extra careful in storing our bitcoins to our own wallets. We have to check our wallets from time to time so we can really monitor if ever errors may appear.Still be careful and cautious at all times.

There s two things.

Blockchain is 100% secure, almost impossible to cheat/hack...

BUT the thing about having some wallets in your phone, or wallets in your pc can be dangerous. Almost every pc in the planet is vulnerable, the hackers could reach your data in some way soon or later. For that reason they are hardware wallets to make it more secure. If you have some big numbers on bitcoin you should spend some dollars on it. McAfee say it was the most secured system right now (he uses too), and i dont gona lie, i believe in this guy who knows about this thing against hackers.

There is others altcoins who tried to enhance that thing, one of them is the coin im supporting right now and is called DeepOnion. They use TOR to make all conections so that make a new concept of what you think about security.

Hello pals,
Recently I introduced Bitcoin and cryptocurrency to my friends and family, they liked the concept but they asked me a question that I wasn't able to answer. Is Bitcoin really secure? What if a hacker was able to hack Bitcoin system/blockchain?Who manages Bitcoin security and what are the security measures taken to avoid hackers being able to steal Bitcoins? Why Bitcoin is not blocked for those who use it illegally by buying/selling in the deepweb market? What if governements ban Bitcoin because of these people?
I really appreciate if you  guys give me some answers
I think bitcoin has a strong security more than we'll know. It is hard to track the blockchain and algorithms of bitcoin. Use it instead of speculate it, nothing would happen if we always doubt. If bitcoin completely ban in some countries the economy will fall. The government should shut down those hackers and must caught in jail that is the role of the government to spread the peace.

For the OP, for now it is secured, being able to made it so far for many years without any hacking? The securities are very well prepared. About the hacking, it's not impossible but If the hacker wants to hack it, he would need to hack all thousands or maybe millions of computers (online and offline) that has the blockchains copy and make sure that no one was left behind. So for now it's really hard that you can't imagine how hard it is.  Smiley

LOL. That why in this forum we need escrow to get scammer far away Smiley) Almost people get scammed because they don't have to much time to make a deal or any transaction with escrow and they don't wanna pay more fee for escrow that why they got scammed. In this forum if you don't wanna be scammed I think you should use escrow for your deal or only make a deal with member has a lot of green trust and high rank Cheesy

If you are talking about wallets then the security of your bitcoins will depend on the device you are using  and your wallet provider. If you are using web based wallets then your bitcoins aren't secure but if you are using offline wallets such as Bitcoin Core then your bitcoins are secure unless your device have a virus that keylogs you.

Of course, Bitcoin is totally secured. You can hide your identity when you make a transaction, nobody know who your are and who is received the amount of bitcoin you sent. The only way to find out who you are is check your IP address but if you have a good fake ip software you will totally invisible

Scam protection is not property of bitcoin code., it is property of your brain's code. Scammers don't brake btc keys to still your coins they hack your brain. Get a firewall for your brain!

What I know is it's almost impossible to hack the blockchain. But for our own bitcoin, we have to take security measures not to get stolen. It's our own responsibility. Currently, hardware wallets are best to protect against hackers.
I think government can't ban bitcoin just because of those who use it in illegal ways because many bitoins are also in the good hands at the same time. They might need to find a better reason to ban it. It will just scare away some cautious newcomers.
To conclude, I believe people behind the stage are always trying to improve on bitcoin including those illegal issues.

I think that's not true. There are incidents that bitcoins are stolen by hackers. Taking all possibe security measures is the best.

I don't think it is secure, I MUST secure it, you yourself must secure it.  Wink There's no one who is responsible for it just yourself. Bitcoin known to become the cryptocurrency that means it is secured, but can we say if our account is known by many people, it must be personal, and the trusted one. In terms of hacking, we cannot stop them, but we can avoid them.

If you take care of your keys properly it is the most secure form of finance there is. It would take a super computer millions of year to try and crack a single Bitcoin address. Yes I know computers are getting better and Quantum computers are starting to be created but with emerging technologies Bitcoin evolves and adapts too.

During my playing and bitcoin hunting, I feel safe, albeit against hackers. But I prevented it by creating a safe wallet, which only we own that hold private address. And in my opinion there is no reason for the government to ban bitcoin.
