Hi Guys, any updates on the 1.3.4 wallet? Should be live on the 9th but website still shows 1.3.3 since September.

The release is already on Github; Binaries are currently being built.  Cool There was a problem with leveldb compatibility (that's the reason for the delay) but it has been fixed. Binaries should come out today I would guess.

Any update here? Still nothing to download on github..

Can this be purchased on binance?

No. Such a private coin, like XSPEC, is not designed for exchanges which KYC are necessary.
It's the same that there is no Bittrex for XSPEC.

Sound not good, but it's true.

And it's totally fine. We don't need many exchanges to be successful. Look at ETN - hovering around top 50, and it's only on Cryptopia. Oyster Pearl - Cryptopia coin.

We just need to spread awareness of this coin. At least, we should keep this discussion board very active.

We definitely don't need to be on Bittrex, I agree.

Worried about my trust rating? I am too. Bitcointalk users ‘Lauda’ and ‘gmaxwell’ have abused their superior powers in trust system to align their views with the ‘correct views.’ In no legal system in any jurisdiction do we have a definition for what Bitcoin is, they do not have the power to tell us what it is based on the rule of law.

Here's the latest on the upcoming Windows release

"As you are probably all aware, testing discovered some issues with the v1.3.4 binaries just before they were due for release. Specifically, we seem to be triggering a bug in Qt4 on the Windows 64-bit platform. We can't release the binaries with this problem, and Qt4 is no longer maintained (v1.4 was to be our migration to Qt5). Bryce and I have got together at his place in the Arctic north to come up with a solution. Yesterday we backported part of the Qt5 migration from v1.4, and we've verified that this solves the problem. We now need to backport a couple of other small changes that this migration requires, and do some testing. This release will get a new version number (v1.3.5) due to the significant additional changes compared to v1.3.4. And you all get Qt5 much earlier than expected!

We expect to make the release in the coming days and will give regular updates about progress."

Does anyone know how to make the wallet portable? I wanna have the wallet on my nextcloud and to be accessible from any connected computer but apprently the wallet data is stored somewhere different and not within the same directory.

The wallets of most coins store their data in a separate directory in your "app data" folder and never in the wallet program itself.

Also the wiki is your friend Wink https://altcoinwiki.org/en/SpectreCoin#Data_directory

Making this work on all computers will be a non-trivial task though. In 1.4 we will switch to a deterministic wallet, so then you will be able to have the same wallet on different devices.

Thanks.

It's a privacy coin. All the moron had to say was that he "thought the distribution was narrow" with no facts to support it, just claiming that 6 people owned all of XSPEC.

The OP in question DELETED COMMENTS that refuted his arguments, while (funny) claiming that XSPEC mods deleted his comments. So basically he is a liar who wanted to FUD XSPEC for some reason (maybe to lower the price so he could buy in - it has gone up a lot since back then), and didn't want to be called out.

Also, that thread is like 4 months old. A lot has changed in that time - do you still think it's a scam, given where we are today? My research says not.

If you'd like, you could go and communicate with the devs. They are pretty active, I believe.

Thanks.

The guy deleted all valid counter arguments I had against him too. That thread was created directly after 'cryptohunter' and I had an argument on a different thread. It seemed that fuelled his anger to create that thread and mute my voice. This is shown when you look in his post history along with numerous unbacked 'scam' accusations. He is (or was at the time) also a wide supporter of PIVX (as you can see in his post history), which is in no doubt a Cryptocurrency obsolete in technology when compared to Spectrecoin. Also in his post history you see him mention Shadowcash, a whole community, (now dead) against the birth of Spectrecoin. Its unfortunate that this information is still published on the internet, and may appear upon a quick google search of Spectrecoin. In reality, Spectrecoin has come 10x in Value since that thread and you will find all these points have been ruled false.

Well one thing that worries me is that I downloaded The Spectre Wallet v1.3.3 from https://spectreproject.io/wallets/

On the same day, I downloaded 2 other crypto wallets. After that, my MacBook started heating up and the fan making noise even when no apps/wallets are open. When I tried to restart, I Safari wouldn't quit or force-quit and I ended up force-powering the MacBook off. Now every time I restart, I get an error that says "moszcpu quit unexpectedly".

At first, I send a report to Apple and didn't think much about it. Then I tried to start Spectre, and right after flash window, it says "Spectre quit unexpectedly".

I tried restarting again and that's when I realized again I couldn't quit Safari, but I could only force quit it from Activity Monitor.

After googling moszcpu, I get some weird results about "OSX.CpuMeaner: New Cryptocurrency Mining Trojan Targets macOS". I don't remember ever handling anything with the name Cryptomeaner...

It seems something new though because I am unable to find any support on the internet about this moszcpu error... Any ideas how to figure this out?

I went through my downloads folder and deleted a lot of stuff that I don't remember downloading. After that, I am able to quit Safari and restart without having to force quit anything, But still get the moszcpu and unable to start Spectre, even after deleting and re-downloading. (My main suspicion that the malware may be related to spectre)

At the same time, I am realizing that about 90% of ICO's turn out to be scams... so I am still trying to narrow down how I ended up with this... Has anyone seen this before? Any suggestions? Any help, please? Thanks.

lol are you trolling? The wallets are open-source. Why don't you go look on Github and check it for yourself?

You are (1) indirectly stating that XSPEC is a scam. Let's get that out of the way - a scam ICO does not go as well as XSPEC has, and for as long. A scam ICO is something like Fujinto or Confido.

It's difficult to FUD something that is legit like XSPEC.
