“One thing very good traders have is insight into themselves.” - Chris Tate

FUN AND GAMES
Recently Louise Bedford and I have been doing the Short Term Trading Magic seminars in a few places and it has been sometime since I did any form of presentation on a semi regular basis. As such it has been interesting to observe people as they work through various trading issues.

One of the things I have noted is that people take trading far too seriously and this is reflected in a form of desperation. Desperation is the antithesis of the state of mind you need to be in to trade effectively.

There is no deny that this is a phase everyone enters at some stage in their career but to be successful you need to move beyond this and begin to treat trading as the game that it is. Once I started treating trading as a game then it became so much easier on the soul and my results reflected this. I even have a t-shirt that says that the fewer fucks I give the more I make.

This is not to say that I am reckless but rather that I am in no way wedded to the outcome of any trade. At its core my life will not change if a trade or even a cluster of trades are winners or losers – they are simply not that important. When compared to real life, trading is nowhere near as important as people think it is.

It is often commented that children are better are learning new things than adults who seem set in their ways. I am not so certain that this is a reflection of any great cognitive superiority or plasticity that the young may have but rather a reflection of their willingness to be both wrong and to play. Young children have no ego therefore the mistakes that their play generate have no impact upon their sense of self-worth. As adults we lose this resilience because we believe that it is somehow catastrophic to our self-image if we do make mistakes.

But in trading your mistakes are your own – no one else can see them so you are insulated from the judgment of others. This isolation gives you the freedom to be wrong but the only thing you have to cope with is your own judgment.

Markets are a wonderful universes for exploration and for play. The presence of micro contracts in various instruments and online trading mean that you experiment very cheaply.

The price of admission to the fun park is much lower than it used to be and the number of rides has gone through the roof. It is a shame that more traders don’t view trading as little more than a theme park where you can play to your heart’s content and during the process of playing you learn much more than you would if you were consumed by seriousness and desperation.

Trading is more serious when there's a lot of money on the line.  Some people have made huge gains with the great increase in values, and doesn't yet click for them how much they have till they cash some of it out to fiat.

I will tell you one thing since I started trading I followed one simple rule I saw that most people say but yet forget to apply it . Only invest what you effort to lose ! This is the magic rule it will keep you calm most of the times even when you are taking big loses because this loses is already calculated before you enter ( invest what you can lose ) . But even when following that rule you sometime let you emotions control you not because of the money on the line but sometime it is because you made bad decision and just get angry not over the money lost but over the stupid move you did . Anyway the moment you invest money that you need in real life trading will become so stress and will consume you .

I see trading as a fun game for me but at the same time i take it seriously because i know that it is a source of income and i can earn a lot of money from it if i will take it seriously. I said that i see it is fun because that is my passion and if you are doing your passion then you will enjoy it and you will almost not going to notice that you are making money.

I think the term should be "enjoyment". And it you love and enjoy it, then success will come naturally. We will not put pressure in yourself to perform better in and out. And there will not a time that you consistently making good profit because you enjoy it and you are not frustrated and disappointed in trading. This is like going to work everyday, if you don't like the people around you and not enjoying going in everyday, you will not be productive and should move out already. As long as you enjoy the ride in trading, you will be fine.

"The law of work seems unfair, but nothing can change it; the more enjoyment you get out of your work, the more money you will make.” — Mark Twain

It is hard to see trading as fun when your money is on the line but if you can afford to lose the money you invested as capital then it is not that hard to view it that way. Trading involves a lot of psychological game and if you have no self control then you tend to lose cause you easily give up when price is not going where you wanted it to go. To avoid the situation of being depressed and worried of your trade then the solution to this would be a trading plan wherein you have an alternative action to every possible situation.

Trading is fun for me since I like analyzing charts and being a trader for some time now, I lose some and win some and learned the hard way and it is sometimes hard to accept that I lose sometimes because of my own stupidity.

Trading is fun when I'm getting lots of profits and it is even great when I have invested in coin when it was worth cents and the price is now in dollars. Ha.ha. That's the best feeling ever.

However it is serious for me when I'm in reverse situation. That's when my investment is on the coin which was worth few dollars and now it is worth cents. I get alarmed and keep looking for the news, trade volume every hour and that become serious job at that movement otherwise it's really fun. Lots if profits.

Well yes in most cases, I find trading fun and amusing. This is mainly because as a kid, I was into Runescape which was an MMORPG and in the game, everyone used to strive to make profit by buying and selling items for a marginal price. It used to be a lot of fun finding the right items to merch and doing it the right way.
Now, I compare this to Bitcoin and altcoin trading which is pretty much like a game for me which comes with ups and downs but is lots of fun to play.

It's very difficult to do it while having fun, but I think a lot of people are happy to trade, not as a game, but to earn more income than their income. well, this is not like gaming and having fun, but this can be said to work.

No. I never see the trading as a game or it is only for fun. Trading for me is very a serious job, it is not a ordinary job because in the trading you must have many knowledge about all of the coins in the market.

Of course no. Trading is not a game or just a hobby. We need to make serious the trading because we all know that trading is very risky job. It is really hard to predict whether we will earn profit or not.

I still have reservations for those who believes that gambling should be for fun and games and never to be fully involved in it. But not in any is trading to be meant for fun as it should be handled seriously because if done well, one can make a living out of it without any stress and I have not seen anybody who put his daily living based on fun.

When it comes to money I don't think people treat or think of it as fun and games, and since trading in the cryptoworld is serious though most preferred trading for long term I have never encountered anyone treating it as fun and games at all. They are quite serious about it and even read a lot of what coin will pump up soon.

Fun and Enjoy are not the same I would agree with enjoy much better when enjoying it the reason why is because if you take it so serious small movements will make you panic while you are enjoying it if there is a movement it would not alarm you because you know what trading is and you rnjoy the pump and dump of coin but enjoying in the right way.

True,i would rather use the word enjoying than fun since this kind of investment do really need to be serious since our money is at stake on this one. If we are just basing or looking for fun then we should go for gambling instead on doing trading. Enjoying on the things you do really love to do gives a positive vibes while you are trading but we should really be serious on making orders anytime.

There is no such a thing as fun when it comes to you risking your money. People quite often tend to be too soft when it comes to the seriousness of trading, where I from time to time see people talk about trading like it's a piece of cake, or something they just do for fun to earn money. Reality however turns out that despite the majority of the people are talking like they know it all, it's a fact that the far majority of the traders are only losing, especially in the long term. Trading is serious business. If you think you'll be jumping into trading, and walk out with profits afterwards, then prepare yourself for the worst - these people get eaten alive in such a hostile market. Trading requires a massive amount of time, patience, dedication, solid and calm mind, market understanding, etc. No fun here.

If we are just basing or looking for fun then we should go for gambling instead on doing trading. Enjoying on the things you do really love to do gives a positive vibes while you are trading but we should really be serious on making orders anytime.

What are you guys talking about? you mean if you're having having fun? then you're not enjoying it? lol. Come and read the dictionary, enjoyment is in the definition of fun and

on enjoy there is fun on its synonyms section. they're basically the same in this situation. fun is a state of receiving pleasure on something but it doesn't necessarily mean that all

through out will be happy times and no shit part of course it doesn't also mean that you're not serious. for example in my case i'm enjoying trading  because i consider

cryptocurrencies as an innovation and taking part on it  earlier than most people is great moreover i'm earning money
