It is possible, actually there's a high possibility that it may happen but not in a few years, I think it may take time. We all know that there are lots of government, not to mention strong countries who opposes the use of Bitcoin, you know why (decentralized right?), but I believe they don't have a choice, sooner or later they will adopt to it like countries who did.

of course it will possible but for now i think bitcoin is trying to become globally by reaching more people to use bitcoin and they are really curious about bitcoin. i think in future, if many government is approve bitcoin and people is using bitcoin in many places then bitcoin can be global currency and maybe bitcoin will become as new currency in the world.

Well people are harboring that belief but i don't think it can become a global currency at least in  the near future because there is still majority of people in the world who know nothing about bitcoin and not to talk about its usage. The newer generation might be interested and will use bitcoin on the large scale but ours i doubt if it can be a global currency yet.

Can bitcoin be the world's currency?

bitcoin is already a world's currency that have used in whole the world and people around the world recognize bitcoin. but the main problem is that not all of countries recognize bitcoin or accept bitcoin as legal so bitcoin can not be used in some countries.

if you hope that bitcoin will be the one and only currency in the world, i will convince you that it is very hard to reach, since all countries have their own regulation and their currency reflect how strong they are (in economical aspect).

Even bitcoin helps many individual to earn money and it proves the government, still the government need to create local currencies. Bitcoin has nothing to do with the government because bitcoin users do not pay taxes for the reason that they earn from it. Bitcoin cannot be a real currency which can be use for everyday payment because of the price volatility.

Can bitcoin be the world's currency?

Maybe but it will take years to happen if the world will 100% adopt the computer age system or a 100% using computer system. As you can see now not all nations are using computers, many are still cant adopt the computer and the digital technology specially the poor countries because of their weak economy in which they cant afford to upgrade their system to the most advance technology in which is very vital to digital transactions.

Can bitcoin be the world's currency?

Why not! I think after 10 years from now, Bitcoin will be a payment system used for sending and receiving money online.

No. Especially the communist countries like china, they banned bitcoin. And I think the government won't allow that. Bitcoin has a lot of contibutions in our latest technologies but many people will disagree with that modern currency.

Can bitcoin be the world's currency?
No, even though it was popular still it wont be a world's currency. It will remain as a virtual currency, the fact that almost all government around the world doesnt accept it as a rule of payment so how can it be a worlds currency. Bitcoin has a lot of thing to improve and develop. Even fiat was still a good thing tonused than bitcoin because it was 100% safe and secure than in bitcoin. But I believe that bitcoin will have a big contribution to the world.

Yes, it's very possible, and it won't take too long.
Now this era. Paper money is very easy to devalue, and people don't want to hold too much paper money. But other commodities are not easy to hedge. So bitcoin is the best way

I think the government won't allow it.  They won't have full control over Bitcoin and i'll be hard for them to tax people because of the anonymity of the user. So I think it's a no for me.

I think your thinking is so short to say, everyone can have Bitcoin as long as they intend and know about Bitcoin, because I think Bitcoin is very helpful to all those who have economic keris or who have not yet got a job, with them looking for Bitcoin and getting it, they will be able to buy everything they want.

I think, bitcoin has become global currency. Because, we aren't constrained by type currency of any country. We are free to exchange bitcoin in whatever form we want.

No its not yet the global currency as you are stating here. Just because you can use it the way you want doesn't mean you can give it status of global currency. Have you considered Gold as global currency after all its market cap and use in the world? I guess no, so thats smile bitcoin is not the currency of world yet. Its not even reached to half of the population in the world and most of them know about it but don't dare to use to for many of the reasons. It has to grow more and be a entity recognised by all governing bodies, then we can speak about the global status of the bitcoin as currency.

This can happen, but it takes a long time, because to realize all it takes the process and government involvement, currently Bitcoin is still a debate in the governments of countries that are worried about the existence of Bitcoin.
