I think its already the worlds currency because no country or no authority owns bitcoin .Even you can send money from one country to another without any barrier . even you can do any international transaction using bitcoin without any limitation what else you need to b bitcoin as world currency.

Is a possibility. A lot of people know about Bitcoin, included North Korea's Special delegate of the Committee on Cultural Relations

No, bitcoin is already too high a price and it will be a global investment for storing and multiplying money. This is an independent crypto currency that is not intended only for use as a currency.

Can bitcoin be the world's currency?
In which world you are living , Because here in this world most of the people who are making worldwide payments are using bitcoin and saving much amount of the money ( with the savings of transaction fee ) .
So you can understand well people are using bitcoin in much amount and no chance for any other coin to get success like bitcoin because bitcoin has trust with the people more than what another coins or options have .
So don't get in doubt whether it will get success or not and use it in every field and for every purpose for which you can take advantage and ease with cryptocurrency world .
Here you can see the example of the japan where many big big services are using bitcoin payment like in hotel , airways airlines officially .

I think it is impossible if bitcoin becomes money in the world, because it differs considerably from USD which already has unlimited stock in the world while bitcoin has 21 million stock distribution in this world but it isn’t enough for this world and it also has unstable selling price unlike USD which already has a stable price around the world

everyone does not think about how Bitcoin can grow up to now or the next few years?
I think everyone also can not explain about the existence of satoshi nakamoto and suddenly lost Smiley
I am just saying that if technology in a more sophisticated world in the future might also replace the financial system

I don't know exactly whether bitcoin can be a real currency but in my opinion for now it will be hard to make bitcoin as real currency because bitcoin price is still very fluctuating and if it will later be made a currency of course prepared the means used to make bitcoin as real currency.  Smiley

Can bitcoin be the world's currency?
It's quite impossible  but tomorrow is way unpredictable. Since the whole world is coping up the the advancement of technology, if there's nothing wrong that will happen such as things that will make the reputation of digital currency or perhaps bitcoin, it will be possible in the future. But still, I won't say that other regular currencies will disappear in am instant, maybe it is more on dominance such that in the future, Bitcoin has potential to be a more dominant currency than fiat.

I think it is still not possible because bitcoin is free and not controlled by a particular institution

On the internet it will be. But with the recent bans in different countries this is now going to be impossible.
I thought before nothing can stop bitcoin but now they have find a way to do it.
But I have still one question in my mind. If they ban the bitcoin in one country, what agency of the government is tracing the bitcoin movement inside or outside their country. Can they really know that?

I can't say it's not possible but for that to happen, bitcoin should be accessible throughout the world provided with a system and internet connection to be used by the most complex to simplest business or services which is very unlikely to happen specially in third world countries.

Bitcoin has spreading worldwide that is become popular. Though we can't predict the future but for now it's not possible that bitcoin can be the world's currency. Because bitcoin is used as digital currency and still main currency is the fiat. It is volatile that it's not easy to be used as world's currency.

Can bitcoin be the world's currency?

By world currency I am assuming you mean currencies that can be used by everyone in the world, without translating that currency to that country's native fiat currency.

I don't think Bitcoin will become this though, too many problems such as high transaction fees, but other altcoins might have a chance of this.

Anything is possible, but we still have a LONG ways to go if Bitcoin is to become used by everyone. Still today 99% or more of people do not know what it is.

It's possible if technological advancements were made and the countries adopted it. The problems it has now may be solved in the near future and as of now, a lot of countries are starting to accept Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.

It would be cool though if it were. It would provide convenience for the travellers, because they won't go through the hassle of having to exchange their fiat money to the local currency of the country which they'll visit and lose a lot of money through the taxes. Also, Bitcoin would allow easy and fast transactions along with the convenience of not having to carry it around. As of now, Bitcoin may look far from becoming the world's currency but it may be possible given the circumstances at hand.

If you do see on those aspect you would able to say that bitcoin would really be considered on those sectors but thinking off that all things should really be regulated and knowing bitcoin its a decentralized thing and making it as a main currency.I would say its really an impossible thing to happen. No matter how bitcoin would progress or be successful it would really just still remain on its place on where its just a new way payment system and wont really replaced any strong local fiat currencies on any country.

No I don't think it could be the worlds currency, that's too far to be possible. What about those countries who have no internet access, how could they acquire this currency if they know nothing about bitcoin? That's too selfish to think that it could be that title.

Bitcoin has good potential to be the world's cryptocurrency this cryptocurrency helps to transact easily with low cost of transactions to any part of the world without any hinderences. May be in three to four year's time all the countries will accept bitcoins.

Can bitcoin be the world's currency?

I think it’s impossible because there are countries that are against it. Its price is not stable so it cannot be a worlds currency because it can cause a problem at the future. It can be a great help to many and being used all over the world, in payment transaction for buying goods and services but it will not enough reason to make it as a worlds currency. And also many people still don’t know it or interested on it like the elderly, children, or other people that don’t have an internet connection. And also I think the government will oppose to it because it is decentralized so they can’t add tax on it.

You mean become the main currency and replace paper money and others?
If you mean that, i don't think so. Although bitcoin is already popular and many people use it, it'll be too difficult for bitcoin to become the main currency.
Moreover, bitcoin is more like anonymous and can't be ruled or controlled, so it'll be hard for the goverment to do regulations with bitcoin.

Many of us use to think like that before and specially when there was no ban in China regarding the ICO’s. Now when Chinese government is imposing a ban over the ICO’s which for sure is leading to gateway to ban bitcoin in China shows how vulnerable bitcoin is.

There are lots of intelligent minds working with the agencies in different countries of the world who may have find it how to trace the bitcoin movement. The US agency IRS have already claimed that they can trace 50% of the bitcoin easily.
