Guys, in the very near future www.bitcoinlasvegas.net will be the most useful crypto website in the world. Heres why:

Im going to have a section on my site called wallets & blockchains, on that page will be icons of all the wallets I can find. Im going to make it so that youll simply click on the icon of the picture of the wallet and download the latest wallet AND blockchain AND addnodes!!! How does that sound?!?!  So, its gonna take a whole lot of time , and they will be in alphabetical order. So Ill start that in the coming weeks. Ill be adding wallets slowly to that page as I have time. Ive said it before , www.bitcoinlasvegas.net is the best cryptowebsite , in the world, and its about to get a whole lot better Wink

Vegas

Sounds like a great idea. There's nothing more frustrating than installing a new coin, and not being able to find any addnodes... the client just sits there doing absolutely nothing. There's been some times where I've trawled through multiple threads, even done google searches for "<coin> addnode", and still come up with no working peers. They've all moved on. Once I had to resort to just addnoding every coin IP my system has ever connected to (nearly 25000 of them) in the hope that it would find a peer currently running that particular coin.

Keeping up with forks, takeovers, and new releases could be a bit of a challenge, but I like your thinking. Smiley

BTW: I'm not sure that databases are binary compatible across OSs. I tried to send a blockchain generated on a Linux box to someone running Windows, and it didn't work. May also possibly be an issue between 32 and 64 bit flavours of the same OS.

Im already keeping up with latest wallets, in fact if you go to my site, and in the box that says subscribe, put your email address in and click subscribe, everytime I post about a new coin release or new wallet update, it goes to your email. Never spam, or junk. You can unsubscribe at anytime.

Vegas

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed Smiley https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

Hey if anyone could make a zip file of like the latest and I mean maybe the last day or two blockchain updated so my FastCoin wallet will finally sync that would be the cat's ass!!! Just saying..... Wink

Ok done its on my site : www.BITCOINLASVEGAS.net/files/Fastcoin-blockchain-June-11th-2015.zip

Its over 2GB in size. Blame the devs. But its current as of about 15 min ago. Just close fastcoin wallet and extract contents to roaming\fastcoin and overwrite all files.

Enjoy

Vegas

any working pool ?

None of the pools listed on the homepage work.

Edit: Assuming this coin has a future, I'm also wondering why the client runs as a background process (that takes forever to close) rather than an app like all other coin clients?

If you like my post please feel free to give me some positive rep https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=18639

add dbcache=2000 to your shortcut properties in windows. Also forget pools with fastcoin. Best solomine.

Hi all. I'm trying to sync my wallet. Using the last version, with the last bootstrap.dat published in fastcointalk.org and a peers.dat given by a user there nicknamed 'shitscared' the blocks sync extremely slow. I start it with -db=2000 arguments and the recommended fastcoin.conf and leave the wallet open for 12 h. a day but it has been synching for several days and still is on 4,926,000th block of 5 million estimated going one block per second it will sync in a couple of years at least Smiley

Is this why the net hashrate is so low for fastcoin? Is there any way to achieve a sync with my wallet and start mining?

Yes, look up about 4 or 5 posts, and I have a link to a somewhat recent blockchain on my site. Youll never sync from scratch as the blocks are being created faster than your syncing.

Thanks for your help Vegas. I downloaded your blockchain but seems it is still going slower than the net generates new blocks as you mention. Instead of telling the last block received was 7 weeks ago it now tells me it was 5 weeks ago. Tomorrow I'll try to let it synching all day long to see if it catches up but my question to the developers will be: how Fastcoin is going to become popular if the client isn't capable of synching the blockchain effectively or with the blockchain you provide? Are there plans to improve the synching system?

Thanks

do not mine here. pool shows your workers and claims payout every 60 seconds after block is found.

but in fact there are no payouts...wasted time mining.
