I have been trying to go through this thread to see if someone addressed this concern, but wow ... so many pages! Anyway, this looks like a project with tons of potential, my only concern was regarding a section on their whitepaper were they mention that: “Moreover, exchanging and spending Merchant Tokens and performing transactions from your smartphone wallet creates a variety of valuable data. This data can be bundled and sold to merchants and brands, ...”
As much as I understand the benefit this gives to vendors and a lot of what we do is already being tracked probably, I am not a fan of my transaction data being sold to merchants and brands since one thing I appreciate from crypto-currency is the privacy it offers.

I do value that they have been honest by disclosing that info, but will there be an option for the consumer to opt out of this?

I'm not 100% sure but when it says 'data CAN be bundled and sold' I would say it's not a must and up to the user if he wants his data be revealed or not.

Yes, etherscan shows that they sold around 4.4k ETH which is approx. 3.9M $. I'd say this is a very good result so far.

You're right because this ICO isn't hyped at all, but you'll see later this year how much your GAT are going to be worth. And I want to see how the final version of the app will work

@martinholly167 Not with those exact words. In their website's News section they did address the hard cap in relation to the rise in ETH price. They will be using a 7-day trailing average model "To determine when that hardcap is reached". However, this also means there might not be an ICO at all if hard cap is reached early, or if prices plummet it could go until closing date.

Yes, it is almost very close to Hardcap and very good to know that Gatcoin is going to reach it's hard cap very soon. People find potential in the coin and soon we can see listing in the exchanges.

The guys are going to do a customer satisfaction program and they start with Japan which is the most common crypto money in the world. Sk Japan also agreed with a well-known company. I read the most recent announcement on your news website regarding Hardcap Determination, and was wondering if there will there be a revision of the minimum investment amounts considering the current ETH prices? (back in December when the WP was updated ETH was about USD 450 per ETH and now it is over USD 1200 per ETH).

Although I think it is great the hard cap was lowered (I think it's impressive to see a company pause, re-evaluate, and ask for what is needed), I think it will be a battle for investors to get on board during ICO since so much was raised during Pre-Sale. I will be surprised if it doesn't sell out within the first couple days if ICO takes place.

Yes, I hope so. This is chinese project, so they can hit to chinese exhanges easy (Kukoin, Binance, Okex, Huobi). Im glad, that I taked part in pre-sale

If its underrated at the ICO stage , then they have a big chance to grow 10x - 100x.

Just checked Gatcoin's official website and "The current ETH:USD 7-day trailing average is: US$1,222.56", in USD that is 13767248.16, so very close to hitting the hard-cap before ICO (under USD 750K).
