The saddest thing is that seeing the prospects of earning, many teams even stopped thinking about the development of the product. Most ICO just try to lure maximum people and sell them air.

Some are legit, some are scam. Its really hard to find a legit ICO's because scams are everywhere first thing you should do is you should review overall and make sure the ICO is Legit check their whitepaper and roadmap its important to determine the legit one for us not to lose money and effort
There are too many ICO's that can be considered legit and good, but there are also many that claims they are good and legit but in the later part you will just discover it turned out to be a scam. So my advise is that you do your research before you enter into any ICO's that you want to go in.

In fact, it is very difficult sometimes, even for a professional investor or trader, to distinguish a good ICO from a bad one. Spend a lot of time to study the development team, project advisors, and the very idea of the project.

I think that's how scammers live and they are easy enough to determine, especially if you often come across them. Their main goal is to embrace the General public in a short time, so the payments to the hunters will be promised by space.

ICOs are legal in some countries that accept ICO and Crypto. ICO scam projects are often difficult to distinguish in the ICO process, people only recognize the scam after the project is over, and the developer does not take the next move and disappears with the money invested by the investor.

99% of ICOs are designed for one purpose only - and that is to enrich the creator(s). In other words, yes, most of them are scams. However, there are plenty of legit ICOs out there too. You just need to be very careful about which ones you choose to invest in. Do a lot of research in terms of the development team, whitepaper, road-map, etc. to gauge how successful you think it will be and then decide. One more thing to add look at the MVP project team provides and what type of activity the team members did before. Keep in mind that the Whitepaper is only declaration and you can only rely on your own opinion if the team has the right attitude to do the project or not. The investors usually invest into teams and not just projects. Legit ICO in terms of lawyers is another big question. The project has to have a company but at the same time if they do not need a bank account and will just use the collected funds without withdrawing to fiat (some do things like that yet) the company is just a legal entity you interact with while signing SAFT (Simple Agreement for Future Tokens).

We can't generally tell an ICO in the event that it is a trick or not until the point that it is in the market with high rate. Some ICO's are truly trick from the begin, others just turned into a trick since they just neglected to raise their objective sum, however there are others that extremely made speculators rich. Putting resources into a fruitful ICO resembles hitting a big stake, you could gain 10x more than you contributed with it, yet at the same time the hazard it accompanies merits mulling over.

There are some who have legit teams and good ideas but there is some that smell like a scam. Basically, every investment has its risks and you should scrutinize the team background to avoid ICO scams. Many countries do not have laws to regulate cryptocurrency. It is therefore very difficult to say whether the ICO is a scam. But very often.

Yes I agree on that we must be wise in choosing a n ICO's because there are so many scam ICO's that is really hard to identify and it can really victimize us if we don't make study on how to identify those scam ICO's I believe experience really matters the most. Because if we have more experience we can maybe learn or maybe we can have a talent to identify the scam ICO's.

There are a lot of legit ICOs while some others are just scams.
You have to do your own research on these things through this forum or through other channels like review sites ICOBench and more.
By using ICOBench, you can gather information on what experts are saying about a certain platform, or if they are KYC compliant or not.
You can also look for information on the reputation of the team behind the ICO through a thread here on Reputation.
Sometimes, the people here know more about the past projects the team members were a part of.

Good projects, too, need to raise funds. Now there are a lot of scammers, but we have to look for quality projects for investment. I like everything that is happening now with the EOS project and the gaming platform developed by the guys from the EON, it's really a big breakthrough for the gaming industry and new opportunities for developers. We will be able to enjoy with you quality games from developers who used to spend a lot of money so that their product appeared in the public domain for purchase on centralized sites. The emergence of a decentralized platform from the EON is really very important for the market and this is one of those projects that I can advise for studying at the ICO stage

This is a good question to ask, indeed there are many fake and scam ICO out there aiming to dupe people of their hard earned money, to determine a good ICO you will have to read through the whitepaper to determine the authenticity of the project, this will help to a large extent to know weather an ICO is good or just a scam.

Not every ASIO can of course be successful and with serious intentions to collect all the fees. But these are external problems. And then what happens to those cases when they specifically throw people that I saw rarely then precisely fraud.

Not all are scams? Read here, I copied it from http://fintelegram.com/fintelegram-project-shit-coins-and-ico-experts-liabilities: On Dead Coins, for example, 821 Tokens or Coins are listed as a sort of defunct. Of these 121 tokens are rated as a scam and 633 are already qualified as deceased. On Coinopsy 245 tokens and coins are listed as dead. According to a March 2018 study by Satis Group, fewer than 4% of ICO’s raising from US$50 million to US$100 million were successful. Most ICOs were raising money without having an experienced development team or an actual product, just white papers studded with pixie dust – and ICO experts as advisors, of course. Less than 4% were successes!!!
