We know that ICO is legit or scam when they have completed their token sale, indeed to identify there are some suggestions from the analysts, from the look of the website, the content of the roadmap, dev team and the truth of the project, first if you really want to invest in ICOs it would be better for you to follow the most investors, try to see each ICOs and see how much their token sale.

It depends there are legit ICO's that is very much helpful and opens wide number of opportunities. But there are so many scam ICO's that disappear after they able to gain profit from campaign.

there are many ICO's that are legit buth there are also some who are scam. So I think that you need to conduct research first before trusting in an ICO. You need to consider the team the goal the function and the strategy of the ICO that you want to join in order not to be scammed. Wink

Now, some of the organizers of the ICO in White paper indicate that they have agreed to issue tokens with the SEC. But there are those who do not write this, but are not SCAMS, for example Asura Coin .

Well, I saw in alot of websites that like 80 percent of the ICOs are scams, I personally don't think that the percentage is that high, but yeah, overall the majority of the are scams, you could get into a good project that gives you great rewards if you do alot of research though.

Tragically a large portion of them is by all accounts trick. Individuals are making counterfeit tasks to assemble individuals' cash and after that escape with it. By and by first thing I check is the group who made the ICO. I look them on the web and check their past business encounters. On the off chance that they are surely understand individuals or they partook in fruitful battles previously this is a major in addition to. Since that sort of individuals perplexed of losing their notoriety.

for me.
You will not fall victim to a scam if you read first on white paper and take care if the project is true. you should also talk about their telegram so you can get all the details of the ICO so you can get the tokens ready.
so you always carefull.

Base on my own opinion, one of the factors that you need to consider in joining ICO is the team's years of experience, if the team has more years of experience then they really know about the crypto work and know the pros and cons of ICO. Another is by having a positive and high rating from ICO review and rating websites.

Many ICOs are scam. I say it just needs a keen eye and a good observer to actually be able to prevent yourself from getting victimized by these fake ICOs I'm talking about. On the bright side however, there are a lot of regulations being taken by certain sites to ban these fake ICOs completely or at the very least their advertisements in order to strip tgem away of the chance of victimizing others.

There shouldn't be any generalizations. ICO is just an instrument and some teams are using it for scamming and others for getting investments for real projects. There is a number of quality ICOs with at least alpha version of their product ready. Take, for instance, Asura Coin who have their Asura World eSports platmorm ready in an alpha or Remme with their security system.

Some of them are scams, pretty more than a half of the existing ones are scams; however, there are ones that are worth to be known and raise the necessary funds for their development. This is kind of unfair for those projects which are very good ones and, unfortunately, we can't do anything about it, just choose wisely the right project to invest

Hi Guys,

Im pretty keen to understand more about ICOs and intend to invest in some.
ANY recommended ICOs and any advise how you guys determine whether is it a legit or Scam?

Thanks in advance.
hello, i think scam you can feel instinctively most of the time, but usually they are obvius - too loud attraction of the client and promising heaven in a second

I personally invested in an ICO called MediBit for the following reason.

1. The concept/product that is needed, innovative and feasible in real life
2. A solid team with professional backgrounds
3. How well the whitepaper is written
4. If they have something standing out among other ICO

Also, they just announced major news that they are now working together with Korean exchanges to launch the ICO.
And it is confirmed that they will be listed and available for trade as soon as ICO ends.

Here are some links if you are interested.

There are many scams on the market today, and this cannot be denied . It is very difficult to raise whether the ICO is legal or a fraud .

Ico remains the only logical way to acquire tokens of cryptocurrencies. However, to ensure you don't fall a victim of scam icos, make Research on each project and find out the Unique use cases of the project after verifying the teams.

Easiest way to know which is scam or which is not is to first of all read and understand what they are offering, find out if their business models have real solutions to real world problem and how economically SUSTAINABLE are the business models..

There are definitely good projects out there but they seem to be moving further and further away from the traditional ICO Crowdsale type of fundraising and more towards accredited investors and institutional money.

I think we wil continue to see a lot of scams and cash grabs due to people trying to make their fortune before this space becomes heavily regulated.

Investing in crypto is high risk and ICO's are the highest risk of all but getting into one of those 1.6% projects is the dream.

Most of ICO are scam, you can see it a lot of project but it die before a year. But if you search legit ICO there are few you must search carefully because sometimes it look scam but become legit and sometime look legit and the ending it turn scam

It can not  become that  burdensome to spot a deceitful ICO, merely check the advisors with their public CVs prudently then establish if these look valid then check the company registration and other details.
