From a general point of view, Bitcoin and Ethereum differ in purpose. While Bitcoin is created as an alternative to regular money unlike Ethereum to enable developers to build and run distributed applications.

I think if we look at that price definitely bitcoin is superior, if we look in terms of platform for now I think eth is the best platform

If you will let me decide if where I should choose between Bitcoin and ETH then I will surely choose both of them because they are both top performing crypto currency in the market today, both of them has their own users and investors who makes both of them grow stronger day by day, so it will be a very big asset for me if I can be able to have both of them in my account.

Bitcoin is the mother of all crypto that is why there is no altcoin if there is no bitcoin, but ETH is also great digital currency in part of crypto but one thing is we cannot convert ETH to piat money without converting it first to bitcoin that why I conclude that ETH is the son of bitcoin.

In my opinion, in 2018 both bitcoin and ethereum will grow in price. But the ethereum should grow faster than bitcoin, because the release of the new ICOs will strengthen ethereum.  |

bitcoin has already lost its fangs to ascend into a higher coin again from the current price. Thus ethereum rated more promising this year than in the bitcoin.

Both currencies are good, but each in its own way.
Bitcoin is easy to use and fits most of the crypto user community.The ethereum is not so easy to use.
And there is less anonymity. But ethereum is a possibility of smart counter-attacks, which is not present in bitcoins.
Smart contracts have given the world many new companies that move civilization forward.
