You can now vote on our official Discord to let us know if you would or wouldn't like the commandline release before the Windows QT release. The release of the commandline won't hold the release of the QT wallet back. link to Discord.

First, this is a technical project that you can see in GitHub, which is not a simple fork
Yes it is not "simple fork". The studentdev can't even copypaste correctly from XVG/AUR/MYR multialgo coins. They have working QT wallet (and not only QT and many others) and this shit doesn't ... yes yes - because dev can't even copypaste it correctly.  Grin
He can't even make Electrum wallet work right. This piece of shit has 2.4.2 in it's version number ... wow really? Shouldn't he put 0.0.0.0... before that? Even BTC creators are modest making miserable 0.15 version of core after 7 years of development  Grin

We are glad to announce the qt wallet for this Friday. It's finally done and this time we're sure it'll be released. We're still doing some work on the wallet but know for sure it'll be done by Friday. After the release of the QT wallet we'll work on the whitepaper and the bounty campaign. The whitepaper has been planned to be released before the end of the year but we are thinking about finishing up the bounty campaign much earlier and hope to have it done by the end of November.

You shouldn't forget that you can currently vote if you would like to have the command wallet for Windows released before the QT wallet on our discord.

Thanks to everyone helping us and for the interest of the others.

Its pretty easy to find people having issues with XVG electrum wallet recently too, the exact same problems. If its so easy to compile the Windows QT wallet, why hasn't anyone else released it yet?

Is there any Slack/Telegram group to talk with the dev easily???

You can talk to the dev on Discord
The dev is really active on the Discord and will most of the time respond within a day. There are also a lot of other people you can talk about SHIELD with. We don't yet have a slack or telegram but we are thinking about it.

Thanks, the SHIELD team.

The voting for the SHIELD Windows commandline is done, although prematurely, but because of the overwhelming positive votes we will release the "SHIELDd" for windows today!
At 17:00 UTC(or 19:00 CET) we will release the program with some basic instructions for how to use it.

Thanks for the replies,

the SHIELD team

Slack turned into a scammer paradise. It's crazy with all the spam scam emails you get all day. Good choice with telegram.

Hey everyone,

We want to apologize about this but we are not able to release the QT Windows wallet today. Our original plan wasn't compatible enough for Windows and we had not recalculated the time it would take to make it compatible enough. The wallet is on it's way but we just don't know yet when it's good for use. We are giving our self as the maximum amount of time one week. We have made some upgrades to the Electrum wallet and have a new server on port 50002 SSL this is the new server address, pool.bilbotel.fr. We're sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi SHIELD_Joe,

I asked it already some days ago but are you also going to compile a wallet for Mac?

Yes, we are going to but it could take a while still. We are first going to create the Windows and maybe even the Android wallet. You can however run a vm and acces a wallet like that. We also have insturction on how you can compile for Mac yourself in our github readme. https://github.com/ShieldCoin/SHIELD

Ok no problem just take your time. I know how to do it with a virtual machine but I think I am not literate enough to compile it myself (or maybe just too lazy Tongue).
