If I'd had a crystal ball I may have bought a Vega or 3 instead of all my 1070s but I reckon 3600 h/s @ 500W is pretty good no?

You can get that speed with 2 vegas @ 400W total power (cpu not hashing)

Not in Cryptonight-heavy.

About 1400 per Vega in that algo.

1070s seem on par with Vega in Cryptonite-Heavy to me.

However 5 RX 570's can easily get 4000-4300 with about 500-550 watt.

My 4x6 Vega 64 rigs in Cryptonight Heavy yields 37,2 kH/s with the power usage of 4440W (7 day average)
This is just under 120W/kH. There is ~10% variability between my single GPU's.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

HI guys,

1)I have 7 vega 56 rig GPU running the new cast XMR for v8. With the 18.51 driver the miner on miningpoolhub.com statistics stayed at 9150 H/S for two weeks. We have not done the HBCC off optimization yet so I was not worried about the drop in hashrate--we used to do 11-12 KH/S on v7. Just this week the hashrate even went up to 10.5 KH/S. But started this Thursday the hashrate on the pool went down. Now it is at 7.64 KH/S. I am a newbie but is it possible that something to do with miningpoolhub.com would have caused this? The hashrate on miningpoolhub.com is the hashrate that the pool thinks we are mining at. Could it be possible that something on their end is causing this? When I look at the graphs it does not seem we are getting many blocks. Is it that the pool has not been optimized for V8 yet?

2) Can someone post their config for CAST-XMR please for vega 56 (I flashed mine to 64)? Want to see if I did everything ok.

3) What other hash rate optimizations can you recommend for my miner config? I looked through this read. I see some people talk about a PPT optimization. Thanks!

Thanks!

You should get at least 12.5kH/s at least with 7 modded vega 56 with a consumption of 1300-1400W.

Code:
cast_xmr-vega -S xmr-eu1.nanopool.org:14444 -u monero_address %* --maxmem --fastjobswitch  --algo=-1 --intensity=7 -G 0,1,2,3,4,5

I've tried this also. Still only GPU 0 works.

Try to add this option "-G 0,1,2,3,4,5" in the command line args.

I try Cast XMR  cast_xmr-vega-ubuntu_150.tar.gz on Linux. But only one GPU 0 is detected. Rig is 6 cards RX470
Tryied with Driver 18.10 and 18.30 (was NO driver error like below)

Right now our rig is running with 18.5.1 driver on windows. However, we cannot get the last GPU recognized. We have tried different cards in the last position. The result is always the same. Cast-XMR says the last card has 0 hash. I will post our configs for overdrive and cast.-xmr below. Any help getting the last card recognized would be appreciated.

Our config right now is:

Code:
cast_xmr-vega.exe -S xxxxx -u xxxxx -p x -G 0,1,2,3,4,5,6 --maxmem --fastjobswitch --i --reconnects=50 --ratewatchdog -R

I read the previous post that --maxmem has been disabled. I will instruct my team to take it out.

Our startup script uses overdrive for tweaking.

Code:
Name=Mining2
GPU_P0=852;800
GPU_P1=991;900
GPU_P2=1138;950
GPU_P3=1269;1000
GPU_P4=1312;1050
GPU_P5=1474;1100
GPU_P6=1477;900
GPU_P7=1527;905
Mem_P0=167;800;0
Mem_P1=500;800;0
Mem_P2=700;900;0
Mem_P3=900;950
Fan_Min=3000
Fan_Max=4900
Fan_Target=70
Fan_Acoustic=0
Power_Temp=70
Power_Target=-20

Hello dear Gandalph3000 Team, we need your help for our new project.
We have implemented a new ALGO: CN Heavy Fast
in our new coin We just wanted to use it as friendly software.

How can we adapt Cast XMR to the new Algo?

Maybe you have the opportunity to take a look.

Our project is here: https://github.com/BitStream-Project/BitStream
Our pool is here: http://207.180.227.127/#

Yours sincerely

Cool.
Just copy pasted the old bat file to the new and then added new settings. At the start it says that MAXMEM enabled Cheesy

Just want to report i been running very stable this past week mining v8. Hash rates remains at about the 1600 h/s level per card. This is around 200-300 h/s slower but power draw is about the same. Overall things are good and very stable, plus i am mining at close to 100% success rates, thanks to fastjobswitch.

Though I will probably start messing with other miners soon seeing as people are reporting higher hash rates.

Where did you see that? (On monero V7 it was 1950H/s os even more.)

After V8 upgrade I get 1820-1830 H/s per card.
With 0.825V core voltage 175-180W/card from wall with 80+ Platinum PSU (930W for a 5 card rig, ~50W for the system and additional fans).

We are getting 1600 h/s too. However, we keep it at this rate since we get no errors on shares.
We will be switching to cast-xmr Ubuntu for our second miner.
Has anyone tried it yet? I

No increase for me  on CryptoNightV8. After one day totally the same hashrate as before. At least not worse.

I've tested already and it's working. and i'm even getting bigger hashrate than with xmr-stak.

Thank you very much and keep up the good work devs.
I forgot to say i'm with rx580's
