Altcoins are very profitable, you just need to pick the right one. You have to buy it at the right time and sell it at the right time. If you keep picking shitcoins then expect that there will be no future from it.

Yes I'm totally agree with you. For me altcoin is also a good source of profit in terms of digital currency. But not all altcoin are good to hold. You need to be wise in choosing the altcoin that your going to keep. And in my opinion it is best if you hold BTC or ETH. In this two coin you can really see how big you earn from it.

Like most people have stated. There is good and there is bad.

Try not to look at it as an ALT coin. Look at each coin for its own features and benifits.

Cryto is in a "bull" market right now. Lots of speculators. Far few investors.

Investors will make the money long term. Sadly I fear a lot of speculators looking for the "get rich quick" model will loose a lot.

It depends on the type of altcoins you hold, crypto markets has hundreds of altcoins, but the biggest part of them will not survive, do not follow the false promises of some dev teams, do your own research.

Now Bitcoin price is hype around the fork in October. Most of altcoins are going down. Even the potential ones. Another thing is you need to have some criteria to choose the best coins to invest.

If you have good portfolio which contains well diversified assets it's nothing to worry about. You must be patient. Last few months crypto market is in correction phase so it's ok if you have some loses. Just hodl!

i guess other people have the same experience like you and many of us is still trying to survive with their altcoin. i am still holding my altcoin since last year but fortunately i can buy at lower price so now i still have my proft if i decide to sell. in my opinion, altcoin have a good future especially with the altcoin which have a good project and you can know by reading on their website. if you can not hold for a long then you might be sell it but you don't make any profit.

With a lot of altcoins 6 months can be nothing, you could be waiting longer to see any comeback from your investment, obviously depending on the coin you are holding, patience is a must in the altcoin world and this lessen takes some time to learn.

Can you tell us which altcoin are you holding for 6 months and still no profit at hand? I guess you bought it during the bullish season, around 1st to 2nd quarter this year. You might have bought it during May or earlier. I advice you not to let go of it. Well, I don't know what coin is that but if that is one of the top coins, hold on tight to it a little longer. Well, if you want to cut loss and then shift to a cheap coin, it is your choice.

I think the problem is not from the altcoin but it's from you. I mean, which altcoin do you trade ? I always trade with some altcoins that I think is good in the future, that's why I already have a note for some altcoins before I trade it. In my opinion altcoin future is really good same like bitcoin.

You just didn't enter at the good time. I would say you entered at the worst time. But you couldn't know.
In the long term, if you choose some strong altcoin, it'll probably be beneficial. But if I may advice you, I think you should focus on 3 or 4 altcoin maximum. You can't be awar of the news and roadmap for too many of them, and if you try, you'll miss some important points.

The best thing, in my opinion, remains to hold strong altcoins, like NEO, ETH... etc. And a bit of BTC. You'll be fine in a few years

I only trust ETH at the moment. There are many altcoins and I lost some money, since not selecting the correct ones, I know but it is hard to choose the correct altcoin though. I trust ETH for the long term investment, and I see a good future of it.

I think you should spend some time reading the information for each altocoin. Make a table with pros and cons. Then you can decide what altcoin would have potential in the medium/long term. I'd suggest to go after the ones with strong background and developments.

Patience is all you need. Try not to trade or hold with your emotions. This is what I've learned from this forum. Altcoins and crypto as a whole is volatile and any moment it will go up. Just calm down, learn and research more and it will profit you goodluck!
