Just hold it. It is part of trading, i never experience that and I hope that i won't experience the same thingm i believe there is a future in altcoins but we need to choose the right coin.

I would check out (i have an interest in) LTC, ETH, DASH, XMR, ETC, BCN, DOGE, BCC, and EMC. All great teams, whitepapers, they are solving problems, and have potential. But still waiting for the great ALT rocket to shoot back up post fork. We shall see, but it i'm pretty bullish on the ALT side and am looking forward to the up & up.

You are talking as if there was only one kind of coin and not hundreds of them! Surely some profit is very possible. I gained 7x profit with ethereum in 3 months or so, for example. Of course, as there're more and more of them, and the most famous ones are getting very expensive, it is now rather hard to make such big profits, but something like 2x seems very possible to me. Let's take a look at facts about coins' prices to prove my point:
Nem was worth 0.000013btc in April and is now, after 6 months, worth 0.000042btc, so for one investing in it half a year ago the profit would be more than 3x.
Monero was worth 0.017btc in April and was worth 0.032 in the end of August, so almost 2x profit was possible.
Finally, list was worth 0.0002 in April and is now 0.001, providing 5x profit for investors. Thus, the main problem is to find the right coins but they surely do exist.

Always in trading right time right decision has to placed nothing is wrong in holding it is part of trading game so don't panic things will be alright that time to take your call.

There are overmuch altcoins in crypto market and we can not say same things for all of them.
firstly, for me 6 month is a little long time for holding an altcoin (of course except for some alts). if you believe that you did not miss better ways or chances during this time, wait for your profit.

I would recommend against this.
You are trading cheap altcoins for bloated Bitcoin.
Eventually Bitcoin will go down and altcoins up. You will lose too much.

I think the real-life applicability of altcoins will be important to whether the coin will survive. Bitcoin will obviously stay very big since it's by far the most well-known cryptocurrency. However, for most people it does not serve any purpose besides being a speculatory investment. People cannot pay their daily expenses with bitcoin

that's what we seen each time and its just repeating itself, bitcoin rise altcoins will suffer when bitcoin reached its new peak altcoin will bounce back, as a trader i just keep looking for some opportunities an advantage to buy those quality coins which have a potential to easily bounce back when new height already been achieved by bitcoin rising.
