Yo, if you want big gains like 2-10x or even 100x of your investment in relatively short time, altcoin is the perfect choice. The weakness is that they also can be dump easier than bitcoin.
If you want security, bitcoin is where you should invest. But it will not go to 10x in any short time.

Maybe not millionaire but at least get some profit. Altcoin in some way are better then bitcoin it`s like short time investment with good profit if you are gonna do everything correct.

Its funny how you assume I buy bad coins. If you read the thread you would know I bought all top coins, eth,xrp,xmr, ltc...all down over 60% since I bought in June. Take a look at the charts. Fuck xrp would need to increase like 700% to get back to where it was in the summer wtf are you smoking?

I am in the same boat. I bought all top altcoins thinking they would outperform bitcoins. But now I keep thinking I should have kept more bitcoins. Don’t have much return from the altcoins but bitcoin is going higher and higher.

You just bought at the wrong time that is all, right now is the turn of bitcoin of going up while all the alts suffer, once the forks end all the rage about bitcoin is going to subside and when that happens the attention will shift once again to altcoins and when that happens you are going to see great profits especially from those projects that are good but that no one is paying attention.

You have really explained the digital market. Everything revolves here around the bitcoin. If it is pumping, great all the altcoins will also show a little progress. If it suffers, all the altcoins will also suffer like when China made a political move few months back. If a new BTC fork is going to be released soon, people get involved into altcoins because that is the time before their pump.We just need to take care of what time it is.

Everything is about perfect timing. Investing in altcoins will be very profitable if you can enter at the right time. Wait for the time when altcoins are suffering hard from some serious issues and FUDs. When china made a move that affected seriously the price of bitcoin and almost all altcoins, that was a perfect example of perfect buying time. Everyone was dumping, you oppose the flow and buy them very cheap.

when we buy altcoin in cheap price, we should thinking that the price will increase and will decrease in future so what we can do is be patience and don't loss control to cut loss our altcoin. and now we have almost altcoin is down but i still believe every altcoins will gets increase soon and we only need to waiting for a while. i still have my patience to waiting the price is increase and if i must sell my coins, i still can get profits so i think its better to wait for more.

that really depends on what Altcoins you bought and when. If you bought ETH at an all time high and you see the value of your holding plummeting, then you joined the ride too late (in a couple of months you'll probably recuperate, but as of now you're in a loss. Many Alts have had spectacular returns the last months and that's evident on how innovative the sector is becoming. We see more and more alts popping out which means the market is maturing and people start realizing the potential of crypto's. BTC would never have reached such highs without the ALTs, and ALTs would obviously have never existed if BTC was not there in the first place. What I'm trying to say is that ALTs help to comprehent and complete the crypto ecosystem and that helps as well BTC's appreciation. You're better off buying various coins so to be sure that you're properly balanced and that you won't get rekt once one takes a hit.

There are some very good altcoins available in the market today and day by day their demand and price is increasing. Yes to an extent I would agree that out of 1000 altcoins only handful does have really value rest all of them does not have any good value. its a good research that will make sure you keep a good altcoin in your portfolio for future.

You are not right: In the Spring a lot of alts overtaked BTC for many X.
Now, from September the recession began and going on.
If project have it`s own plans, good team and technology - you just need to wait (examples: BAT,Adex,Tezos,PolkaDot).

I feel you yonton. If I never bought altoins and stay in Bitcoin all the time I could've been already a rich man. For the last 3-4 years we spent (waste) a lot of money (Bitcoin) to altcoins and overall return was very bad. If I could hold all my Bitcoin I could be a happy Bitcoin rich but I chose to be a poor altcoin guy.

Well maybe OP had a hard time choosing coins that's why he ended up landing to these coins. If he only will trust again and buy again some altcoins that are really promising then it will be all be better.

There are soo many good projects coming outside bitcoin, as a trader im able to make better results into altcoins then into bitcoin. Bitcoin is the king for sure and its current value had affected all coins, but bitcoin besides have milions invested hasnt changed nothing, or improved, like smart contracts could be implemented as some others things new coins are bringing.

BTC is so risky so that many try to use more safe coin so that they use other Altcoin which some of them good like ETH and litecoin

Alt coin changed in my life i am strongly believe alt coin because i got big amount profit from Ethereum,BitConnect,Ripple,Monero,Dash.Still now i hold huge ETH for long term investment.Never Alt coin is suck.

IF you invested on good coins...prepare for a major rebound once the BTC buyers start dumping BTC.  It is a cycle (every major BTC news) that if you are lucky/smart enough to position yourself properly can give you enormous rewards.

I actually sell my best performing coins to buy the worst performing coins (amongst my pre-selected coins that I deem are all "good").  It is basically the "Buy low, sell high" mantra.

BEWARE, now is possibly the worst time to sell altcoins.

I agree this is caused by BTC forks, but this has to be the longest cycle/dip we had in a while.

I should have sold everything to USDT until these forks go by.
