The main problem is, that most of people doens't look on altcoins as longer term investment. All of them wants to be a milionare overnight..

Yeah this time many crypto which potential parallel with bitcoin, even now many new coins was born with a great project and has a bright future, most of the coins is the platform of eth. So really don't worry for investment in crypto.

Yeah, it's a lot of shitcoins. But if you do a bit of research on altcoins, you can see that there are some great ideas and project..

You may be right. Some coins can give really big profit opportunities, but I have always seen ethereum better than bitcoin cash.

I don't know why you guys hate so much altcoins. Altcoins are definitelt lot more dangerous than bitcoin. But that gives great chance to have bigger profits. Some people lose, some win. Its very dangerous but not that bad if you work hard.

I agree. I wish i would buy only bitcoin from the beginning. But it is hard to accept it and exchanging all of my altcoins to bitcoin is something that i can not dare to do. I dont want to sell at loss.

I think we should put our hopes to high to alts that it can recover as soon as it can like it really hurts my eyes seeing my blockfolio that in blood bath. We always see that when bitcoin skyrocketed it leaves alts in the ground and many are almost curse their coins for giving them a big lose and end up selling just to cut their loses which isn't a good idea. So instead of mocking around, why not buy some alts that you can add and just keep your faith that over time it'll give a good profit.

True. My biggest gain so far is by holding Bitcoin.

Yeah sure some altcoins might go 10-100x, but the chance for it to happen is very small. You'll most likely get a lot of losses by blindly investing into a lot of altcoins before finding one that'll go 100x. That 100x might not be able to compensate the losses that has occured before.

Bitcoin, on the other hand, is rising slowly but surely. And right now things are all looking good for Bitcoin. In 2017 Bitcoin had two serious split attempt, Bitcoin Cash and Segwit2x. But we overcome them and the value keeps rising, almost 6x from the initial price. With Lightning Network and Schnorr incoming, I'm sure we could solve the transaction issue a few months ahead. Adoption and regulations are looking good too. Hope 2018 will be even better for Bitcoin.
