Would have been much better off just leaving everything in bitcoin. Altcoins suck.

I agree. It hurt my eyes when I see all of my altcoins that keeps on decreasing and I don't see that it might be able to keep up in the next months. I lost too much btc now so I think I just focus more on doing campaigns now on  because I see the bitcoin isn't over going up.

Just hold up bud because if you still hold of those coins and not being sold off that wont still be considered as loss. Just like mine all of my altcoin on my folio now is bleeding which is really normal if bitcoins price tends to go up.If you are already a long time bitcoin or crypto enthusiast you would really see this situation as a normal thing.Dont hate or regret on buying altcoins since those prices will eventually recover soon but depends on the coins you are holding though.

I think altcoin investment is a pretty good direction. You may have purchased a discounted altcoin, but do not worry too much. From this point to the end of the year the altcoin will rise again. You need to closely monitor the altcoin that you invest to have the best direction for yourself.

It sucks if you buy altcoins randomly and buy shit coins. Before investment you need to find out some information about certain altcoin. If you are too lazy for that, then for you would be good invest in BTC and ETH

The problem with investors nowadays are just going to pick a coin that either it is popular or it's only based on their belief that this coin has a good potential and then complaining that they lost too much money afterwards because it was dumped or delisted. It doesn't work like that so better make your own research.

which altcoins did you buy? How long have you held them? I know that altcoins are dropping now. But I don't it is a mistake. You can sell all now and buy others. Fail is the mother of success.  Cheesy

If you ara a long time holder yes you can just buy bitcoin and forget it for 5-6 years. Usually people buying altcoin to dump it and get more bitcoin even not all people act like this. But still...people only have a very big trust on bitcoin. Nothing wrong buying alt but buy the good one not scam altcoin. If you lucky enough you can multiply your bitcoin by buying alt.

It seems you lost a lot in altcoins . It’s kinda true that bitcoin will always be the safest coin to put your money in. Because it will keep on gaining value . Altcoins are fast paced kinda investments. You need to be alert on every time and active . You need to do fast buy and sells.

I think it is not so easy, as you can see, a lot of new altcoins are listed on the exchanges and you can see some old altcoins like SNT, BNT are still in low market performance.

That is the speculation time, the cryptocurrency market has transfered to this cycle and I think this bubble will be end soon. But, depend on the support, the bubble of cryptocurrency can still live in next few years.

it's looking more brutal than i expected for many a coin. bitcoin hasn't gone up as much as many of them have lost.

i wonder what's gonna happen when all the forks are over and done with. maybe it's a little reminder that alts are not the be all and end all. there's a whole lot of junk out there that deserves to be wiped out.

i also think icos were a one time hype. there was enough of a push back from the authorities to put a major dampener on that. that's gonna damage eth and a few others.

wrong! terrible mistake...  a 1% rise in BTC, means right now 65$..  and this amount is a few X times the price of many altcoins together.. so yes, you can be sure, BTC has gone MUCH up than many of altcoin have lost.. in fact much more, you could had realized it, if you had examined the market cap rising from 170.000M$ to 184.000M$ (right now).. there is not only a shift from money from altcoins to BTC, there had been coming money also from outside to the crypto market..sure to take advantage of the hardfork.

The reason for the dropp is that when the first fork in July everyone who had BTC got free money. Now they do it again. This is not healthy for any marked. Free money have to come from somewhere and and it is a sort of false advertisment to buy BTC. When this is over and everyone has got their free money we (hoppfully) will se a pump in altcoins and a drop in BTC since there will be no reason (for the people holding so they can get free money) to hold any more. I don't wish that I never bought. Some investments have turned out bad but some have worked out and even beeten BTC in growth. But the main goal is to accumulate most BTC since for now it's what drives and controls the marked.
Let's all altcoin buyers/holders cross our fingers and pray for a huge bounce soon.

It's very funny how it's so scary to even invest in ICOs lately! It's either the whole thing is a joke or developers aren't responsive or just don't have the interest of investors at heart. Angry

Hehe, I also took big loss like you, but I am an unlucky trader, I lost all profits + 1/5 my capital for investment.
Although until today I did not try to trading any altcoin, just see the market and predict the next move to improve my trading skill, but I never regret the past, because it gave me a lot of experiences.

I think the altcoin market will recover!! Don't stress just hold on the the coins you have, don't panic sell them. I am sure in a year's time things will look different in your portfolio!!
