I have a question for you guys.  I'm not just investing into DIVI to store value or speculate, I actually want to participate in this becoming a usable currency.  I have a business where we sell and service copiers for other businesses.  My question is, why, or under what circumstances, would an individual or business prefer to use crypto currency to purchase normal goods and services over USD?  I definitely plan to incorporate a Divi payment method with my business, but can't figure out yet what the benefit is to normal businesses (I think it could complicate the bookkeeping).  Thoughts?

This is an excellent point on merchant adoption, and one reason I was so impressed with Divi's plans in the WP to help merchants to move customers to adoption.

We don’t need every store online to accept DIVI, but we do need a critical
mass of them so that people with DIVI can spend it on something, and the
store owners themselves can in return spend it again, or use it for staking,
rather than just converting it to bitcoin or dollars. Our plan to start is to
get at least one good online vendor in every major category, in the biggest
markets such as the U.S. and Europe. These retailers will discover a new
revenue stream with DIVI, stick with us, and we expand from there.

It is indeed a good point, I would accept DIVI if i had a store for sure, Divi will go beyond the solar system.

Divi closing in on the soft cap, 5000 ETH minimum to get the project off the ground. ICO should close around Nov.23rd.

The ICO will result in a set of Divx tokens, these tokens will be converted to Divi coins in Q2 2018, as the funding level looks to be just soft cap at the end of ICO this is very good for us staking and masternode holders.

Blockchain is going live 2018 Q2, yes will be on exchanges, once that time comes they will have the coin on exchanges.

For now the ERC20 Divx token in the ICO is still on sale, it will go on the exchange as a token when the ICO ends, after Nov. 23rd, likely on Cryptopia and ED.
