The transaction was originally going through and got up to 5/20 confirmations on Bittrex, but then reset back to 0/20. Went up again to 3/20 and reset again. Now it sits at 0/20.

Of course, in the case of Bitcoin Cash, 'some people' is defined as 'everyone who held Bitcoin on the Satoshi chain at the moment of fork'.

So in this context, your use of the word 'scam' does not meet any recognized definition.
