Hey everyone,

I'm on Linux and I downloaded the Direct miner version in a zip to an external drive. I need to keep wallet sync data on external drives, due to size.

So I started up the Electroneumd file and now it's syncing, except it's storing the data on my main drive!

Is there a way to specify where this data gets saved? Can I move it?

This may be a better way and also works on MS Windows ;-)

1. Stop daemon and wallet
2. Move the blockchain to <location>
2. Start the daemon with electroneumd.exe --data-dir <location>

App miner is still not available maybe few months or a year before they added it. You can mine in your PC or VPS.

good thing there is a hosted online wallet to keep your coins safe 

if a good and fast working windows wallet comes along and the miner finally works then the course will jump to over 50 cents in a short time. but there is still a long way to go

i'm afraid it is not possible to have a fast etn wallet (like a light wallet). Since etn its based on high privacy, every wallet needs to scan the whole blockchain with your private view key, to see if the block is relevant. It might be possible to create a new type of node that supports faster wallets but on the cost of privacy and decentralization.

The email sent by Richard is all good positive news. Glad he's keeping us informed. Of all the smaller altcoins this has the largest user base and positive news coming out, not fly by night cash out scammers.

With the miner, is that released before EOM? I'm eager to get non crypto holding friends onto it ASAP.

And the secret news, i'm guessing its a tie in with a gaming company, possibly uk based. Maybe not, but something on par of clash of clans where currency can be transferred to other games. Or you quit playing, don't want your currency wasted and so can transfer to another game.

Have topped up again at sub 8c and waiting to ride the wave these next few weeks, can see ETN getting back to the highs of Jan.

Ofcourse it can't compete with real gpu and asic miners, etn never said it is real mining. It is just simulation of mining device and main idea is to bring crypto to ordinary mobile users. Just imagine if they make some partnerships with Samsung, Huawei or some other mobile giant, and you get pre-instaled mobile wallet on it, just like you get Tweeter or Fb app. Out there are billions of potential users, so ETN could be their first step into crypto world.

I don't wish to spoil the fun, but some of the newcomers on HitBTC didn't do well at all. I know everyone's hoping for ETN to be listed on HitBTC expecting the price to jump back to 20¢ or even more.

Now, the facts:

Cardano (ADA) got listed on HitBTC yesterday. No effect on price.

GameFlip token (FLP) was listed on HitBTC a few weeks after the token sale (ICO) has ended. Daily volume is only 1500 USD, and the price is actually three times lower than during the ICO period.

Sorry to say this but I wouldn't hope too much for HitBTC to lead to any considerable price jump once they list ETN.

I think the same way, getting listed on exchanges is not a sure fire way to increase value, it can also go the other way. Liquidity is what we need right now, the value will come from the partnerships, working mobile miner and the marketing blitz that will surely come soon after. Exchanges are important because we need choice, not everybody wants to use a certain exchange and when the exchange has issues (cryptopia) it prevents potential new investors coming in. Besides that, the last thing we or Electroneum needs is an instant massive pump, it will just lead to an equally massive correction. They need stability and slow steady growth to help secure payment processing and retail partnership deals. They want it to be a currency and not just a tradable asset at the end of the day.

I will wait a few more months. I'm in no hurry. this project will already make its way. There is a great marketing team here. and when the smartphone project starts, electroneum becomes even better known. the good exchanges then come by themselves. I think in august - september we all see much higher prices

This is another coin I am happy to wait and give the team until the end of the year to deliver. I can see the price being a lot higher by then if they execute everything they said they would properly.

There are still 4 days in this week. It would be realistic to expect 2 things. Mobile miner working and exchange announcment. It is hard to expect some major partnership only after two days of an event. Only if they worked on it behind the scene for some time

700 sat is real price for ETN, so it dance around it.
