Important ROI coin update:

We had a ghostly bug in the wallet that was causing 2 issues for some Windows users.

Issue 1 was a hard app crash when doing a term deposit and issue 2 was when solo mining from the wallet the wallet miner would shut off. We have corrected both of these issues and also added some other improvements.

Additionally, we have added a bootstrap download to help you speed up the initial synchronization of the block chain. While this is not a hard fork and this update is not mandatory we highly recommend that you go ahead and download and update as soon as possible.

You can get the downloads from our website at https://roi-coin.com/roi-coin-downloads or if you prefer you can also get the downloads from Github at https://github.com/ROIcoin/ROIcoin/releases

Just a reminder/suggestion to update version on explorer web site (top left corner) and maybe make it clickable to transfer to the web site where people can download the latest version.

I have a problem mining solo. I can not mine with -optimineravx2=1 option, the wallet crash soon after starts mining. If i set -optimineraes=1 runs ok the mining, but with about 88h/s
I try to mine with -optimineravx=1 option and it works to, but again with a speed of 90h/s.
How can i make the solo mining work with 180 - 200h/s like i am mining in the pool ?
The processor is Athlon X4 845 quad core and it has AVX2 intrusction

Hi Maxente,

Thanks for reporting this, i submitted Github Issue 11 for you.

I have an older CPU with 6 cores but no AES support. I cannot afford to buy a new CPU at the moment but I am loving mining your coin so far I have massed about 300 give or take a few.  I would really like to mine in the cluster but it seems that I cannot because all the optimized miners for the cluster are for AES-NI enabled CPU's only. Is there a way that you can optimize a miner without AES support (such as cpuminer 3.5.9.1) to work with the cluster as well. I would just like to say that I am enjoying actually being able to mine this coin on my aged hardware and I would like to see if i can get a few more coins under my belt.

Hi there,

Thanks for your QQ. I cant 100% say it will be easy for you to mine the cluster node. But I will help if I can. CPUminer will not work on the cluster as of yet. There is a bug in the code on the longpoll. I have not had the time to change it and may never get round to it because I am but 1 man and have a load of other projects I am working on.

1st download http://roicluster.miner-pools.com/downloads/solominers/roi-coin-hodlminer-wolf-2-cluster.rar

unrar it. Then edit the bat file to change the .exe you change it to each one untill you find one that works. (I hope you do) but if you cant find one that works for your cpu then I am sorry but for now the cluster pool will be out of reach for you.

So if the stock file dont work (code under) Then change it to see if you get one that works. Also change -t 4 to -t 6 I will do it for you this time.

Code:
roiminer.exe -a hodl --url=http://roi.hopto.org:23110 -u mine -p miner -t 6 --coinbase-addr=RRwp5YU4AvECF26pFpWzueAnSaBiysyHE8 -P -q

Code:
roiminer-aes.exe -a hodl --url=http://roi.hopto.org:23110 -u mine -p miner -t 6 --coinbase-addr=RRwp5YU4AvECF26pFpWzueAnSaBiysyHE8 -P -q

Code:
roiminer-bdver2.exe -a hodl --url=http://roi.hopto.org:23110 -u mine -p miner -t 6 --coinbase-addr=RRwp5YU4AvECF26pFpWzueAnSaBiysyHE8 -P -q

Code:
roiminer-bdver3.exe -a hodl --url=http://roi.hopto.org:23110 -u mine -p miner -t 6 --coinbase-addr=RRwp5YU4AvECF26pFpWzueAnSaBiysyHE8 -P -q

Code:
roiminer-haswell-broadwell.exe -a hodl --url=http://roi.hopto.org:23110 -u mine -p miner -t 6 --coinbase-addr=RRwp5YU4AvECF26pFpWzueAnSaBiysyHE8 -P -q

Code:
roiminer-sandybridge-ivybridge.exe -a hodl --url=http://roi.hopto.org:23110 -u mine -p miner -t 6 --coinbase-addr=RRwp5YU4AvECF26pFpWzueAnSaBiysyHE8 -P -q

Code:
roiminer-silvermont.exe -a hodl --url=http://roi.hopto.org:23110 -u mine -p miner -t 6 --coinbase-addr=RRwp5YU4AvECF26pFpWzueAnSaBiysyHE8 -P -q

Code:
roiminer-westmere.exe -a hodl --url=http://roi.hopto.org:23110 -u mine -p miner -t 6 --coinbase-addr=RRwp5YU4AvECF26pFpWzueAnSaBiysyHE8 -P -q

Test each one of them lines of code. If more than one works remove -q -P and you can find the fastest one for your CPU and mine with that. Dont forget to change the address for yours.

Hope this helps you!

Regards,

Raster.

If I help you help me by donating what you can for my time RXd3GwmQA9wdTftDyzYuv29bzgKa4EwnJb

Thank you for your response, unfortunately I have tried all of them and none of them work for me.  I know the regular hodlminer.exe the non-wolf version  works for me and I can connect to the cluster address with it and it shows that it is mining. Does that mean that it is working and I will get the correct payout? I dont want to spend a whole lot of time mining and it isn't really correct because the miner has to be optimized for the cluster. I dont know what if any changes have to be made to the mining software to make it work correctly with the cluster. Excuse my ignorance but I am pretty new to this whole thing.
Copy and paste the output so I can see. Or screen shot

What a strange concept. I feel like it's not going to be as powerful as traditional GPU mining, but who knows  Roll Eyes

How to Solo Mine the wallet without the junk miner built in the wallet.

1st go to %appdata%/ROICOIN/

Make a file called ROIcoin.conf

Paste this in to it.

Code:
rpcuser=mine
rpcpassword=miner
rpcallowip=0.0.0.0/0
rpcport=23110
rpcthreads=4
server=1
daemon=1
gen=0
miningaddress=RJsFF8fgC7QVYvVSa93x8J2VhTtiS1mtwz

RPCport = 3377
addnode=138.197.172.223
addnode=165.227.10.125
addnode=159.203.91.200
addnode=99.198.174.212

Now save.

Now download HODLminer by woolf http://cryptomining-blog.com/wp-content/download/hodlminer-wolf-2.zip

Edit the bat file

Code:
hodlminer.exe -o http://127.0.0.1:23110 -u mine -p miner -t 40 -q -D --coinbase-addr=RJsFF8fgC7QVYvVSa93x8J2VhTtiS1mtwz

And you are good to go.

Dont forget to change wallet key for your own and change the amount of threads "-t"

If I helped you donate to me here   RJsFF8fgC7QVYvVSa93x8J2VhTtiS1mtwz

I try to mine with this option in roicon.conf but i get an error ''HTTP request failed: Recv failure: Connection was reset''
My config file it's like this

rpcuser=mine
rpcpassword=miner
rpcallowip=0.0.0.0/0
rpcport=3377
rpcthreads=40
server=1
daemon=1
gen=0
miningaddress=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

RPCport=3377
addnode=52.211.179.241
addnode=99.198.174.212

Something is wrong with pool mining for hours now. Last one I received was at 8:49 AM ET or 13:49 GMT. There should be 4 more after that.

I am mining to my address 4199d4ef33e296dc7040e3afa99e96395d861627 for weeks now and I can see how number of coins climb from 0 to 20 on http://coinspool.cu.cc/workers_roicoin but it does not get transferred to my wallet.

It was always received with label/address RFG4HQPnqodfnrQHdGtVHfh5qin5eezkb1 and I can see that address gained 20 coins on https://roi-coin-blockexplorer.roi-coin.com/ but nothing gets delivered to me.

Elbandi or someone else, can you take a look?

I restarted my wallet. It made no difference.

A week ago, when nicehash was still down and hash power from them was no longer on the pool, with my hash power (aprox. 180-200h/s) i get 20 coins once 4 hours. Now, with all those who mine with huge hash rates apear again (from nicehahs i gues),  if i'm lucky i get 20 coins once at 8 or 9 hours. I don't known if it's a coincidence, but something is not right. That's why i what to mine solo but my wallet refuse to work with AVX2 instruction

I am going to compare dates and times from ROI explorer (related to sending address I should be getting it from)  with dates and times in my wallet, to see if I am missing more than last 4 batches of 20 coins.

I am going to ask Elbandi to get an export of all coins for my address 4199d4ef33e296dc7040e3afa99e96395d861627 and compare it to what I received in my wallet.
