Hi guys,

Newbie here trying to set up a crypto profile. 1 month ago I had heard the name Bitcoin but didn't know what it was other than a digital currency and had not heard of any alt coins so bear with me  Undecided

I don't have a huge amount to invest, thus far i have 0.13 BTC and 2 ETH, 2.6k XRP AND 50 OMG. I want to keep adding to this and keep it for as long as needed, i  am not really interested in trading as i don't understand this space enough to do that.

Any ideas or thoughts? Should i move any of these around? Concentrate on adding to bitcoin? Add to XRP/OMG etc etc???

Also i have a ledger nano s en route to keep my coins.

cheers

As a newcomer, you have a good set of coins. But your portfolio now is quite conservative. Pay attention to new coins with a small cap. Spend 10-15% of your savings on the most promising ones, from your point of view. You can get much profit, but you should remember they are much riskier.

If trade doesn't interest, then I most likely would begin to hold money on ethereum. Well can a little in bitcoin, but would enclose definitely not all savings in bitcoin)

it would not be painful to not practice complacency. We need to read more and more, thorough research as they were saying.

Read a lot about bitcoin and altcoins. There are so many topics regarding this in this forum. This is the best place to start. Then read articles about digital currencies from other sites. The best way for a newbie is to read a lot.

I think the first thing to focus on is not focusing on money, but on learning and asking many questions. The more questions you are facing, the more likely you will find the nuances of the market. Read many, hear opinions and act. Welcome to our series and good procession.

Do not invest any more than you are willing to lose, that's the best advice you can get.

The second best is to buy a hardware wallet and use that to protect your funds.

For all newbies I would advise to study the market, follow the latest news, and try to use this information to make a right choices when time is right. But not be upset because of the failures that happen with everyone on this hard way.

My advice for newbie here is be a hard working person. Do your job with love and keep learning on bitcoin for you to be more knowledgeable. Study how bitcoin runs for you to gain a lot of profit and get more benefits on it.

Ensure you are patient enough to acquire adequate knowledge in the crypto space, do not be in a hurry to invest, secure your wallet properly as you are your own security, do not input your private key into an unknown website as this can be distrastious. Research well before investing and invest an amount you can afford to loss.

It is necessary not just to speculate about the big money that you can earn, but it is necessary to find out what the principles of the work of the detachment and bitcoin really are. There are no ways to instantly become a millionaire by investing in bitcoin, and from the very beginning of investing huge amounts here, you will find more problems than solutions.

It is not always worth working on a computer without an Internet connection. On the contrary, you need to be able to protect yourself even with a PC connected to the Internet. It is best to use legal software.

Don't spend money that you cannot afford to lose. Crypto investments are very unpredictable and the price could very well fall even further down after you buy which means the value of your coins can decrease at any time. Also when you invest, you should prepare yourself for the wait that accompanies it.

first of all, you need to carefully study and analyze everything, I used to be ready to invest a lot of money in any coin that will say and this is a big mistake, you need not be lazy and carefully study the technical document of the project

Good job friends. I am also a newbie and I have investments in some Altcoin. I also still need a lot of advice from experts. But if I were you I would add my investment in ETH. I have confidence that the ETH will shine in the future. Smiley

Personally, I think that new participants should always devote time to studying information about the technology, the market situation and the specifics of a particular project in order to make a suitable choice.
