If you are a beginner I will advise you to participate in airdrop. So you can understand that there are many scams and you have to be careful.

If you have that much knowledge in crypto, then you should try and invest in some ongoing ICO`s but make sure that you have gathered enough informations regarding on which token you are about to invest.

Hi guys,

Newbie here trying to set up a crypto profile. 1 month ago I had heard the name Bitcoin but didn't know what it was other than a digital currency and had not heard of any alt coins so bear with me  Undecided

I don't have a huge amount to invest, thus far i have 0.13 BTC and 2 ETH, 2.6k XRP AND 50 OMG. I want to keep adding to this and keep it for as long as needed, i  am not really interested in trading as i don't understand this space enough to do that.

Any ideas or thoughts? Should i move any of these around? Concentrate on adding to bitcoin? Add to XRP/OMG etc etc???

Also i have a ledger nano s en route to keep my coins.

cheers

Before risking, read as much as you can. Also for newbies like you I suggest try not to trade
The  only advice that I can share to you is that you must know the cryptocurrency do research about digital currency, understand and know the rules behind the crypto so that once other people will say something negative you will not easily believe on those criticization about bitcoin.

And you must determine whether you are an investor in any technology such as Bitcoin or altcoin, or a daily, weekly or monthly trader. If you are a long-term investor and money is not needed immediately. Keep track of the project team, the achievements they have made as promised

For newbie:

1. Do your own research on anything you thinking to invest. Be a responsible investor

2. Read a lot on Fundamentals (macro and micro)

3. Try to do a basic course at least in trading (there are many free and good resources on Youtube) - Learn Technical Analysis

4. Control your emotions. You are not losing anything if you don't participate in an ICO or if you are not investing in a coin. Wait for the right time.

5. It is not a money game, it is a patience game

6. Don't get in too much into social media and start following buy calls. You will lose more than you win, however, exceptions will always be there

7. Use Stop loss while trading

8. Use hardware wallets like Trezor and Ledger Nano to safely park your cryptocurrencies

9. Crypto market is still not matured enough, it very minuscule compared to Stock and forex market

Hope this helps.

LOL. 0.13 BTC, 2 ETH, 2.6k XRP and 50 OMG is definitely not a little sum Smiley). Yet, in the event that I were you I will trade both XRP and OMG to ETH and Bitcoin cause I don't generally have confidence in these altcoins other than BTC and ETH are the best cryptographic money for the time being and they have great potential go farer later on. However, I think you no compelling reason to do it at the present time, simply keep it for somewhat more or utilize it to exchange to get more benefit before traded them into BTC and ETH.

Best advice for a newbie on this forum: Don't take any advice from here. Because there're lots of shill acounts and they want to make you buy their own shitty coins. The only thing you need to do if you really don't know something is just ask.

My main advice-do not sell cryptocurrency when it falls strongly. UPS and downs is absolutely fine and no need to think that fall was the last. Cryptocurrency is the future, just now it is experiencing temporary problems

Before investing, read as much as you can. Also you should take into account positive and negative comments.
Never sell altcoins, if the price is less that you have invested. It's better to wait in order not to lose.

I am also a newbie, I've heard alot about crypto, there are positive and negative.  but I choose to read more reviews, thread like this and even polls..and as time goes by, there are so many altcoins available in the market, but few of them were only succeed...my suggestion for you, is to carefully learned every aspect in crypto industry before making an investment...

First advice, learn a lot before making any financial investment. Don't try to trade and always keep your eggs in different baskets, i.e. diversify your risks into a few portfolios: for long-term investment, ICO investment, etc. Invest in many coins.

The old theme but still relevant.  Wink All listed in the first post is good, but our goal is to multiply the available. And if it is not enough to earn it. If you are not ready for trading on the stock exchange, you have to earn it. Either bring in cash money or make a bounty. For one and to the stock exchanges you will get used.
