Is the bottom section of this wiki page the block reward breakdown change going into effect when this update goes live on 12/26?
https://wiki.biblepay.org/Economic_Changes_Dec_2019

===

There was a new user in our discord, he mentioned the bitcointalk link gave a 404 error on the main wiki page
https://wiki.biblepay.org/Main_Page

I noticed it has some outdated information, I think its a copy of the original ANN, I can update it if interested

===

Im working on a Q4 update post if anyone has any feedback:

Thank you for the heads up and contribution!
1) I modified the Economic Changes wiki page to be clearer, as it was way too complicated.  I left a sliding scale in for POOM.  This is because I believe we will need to phase Cameroon+Kairos in by a few percent per month.  So PODC will end up on the high end and POOM on the low end (to meet 10% emission for charity) by the end of February.

2) I fixed the 404 problem.

3) I emailed you.

4) I will see if I have anything to add to the newsletter update.  We sorely needed that, thanks.  I will add a todo item also, to notify our mass mailing list of the PODC 2.0 go live, asap.

What do you guys think if the children we support made digital products that you purchase online with BBP? It could be a digital product like a drawing that are scanned and posted online. You buy them on a web store and the BBP goes directly to that community?

There's a production proposal for a WooCommerce ecommerce plugin for BBP: https://forum.biblepay.org/index.php?topic=482.new#new

Besides Subway Gift cards, some ideas to sell products with BBP would be good. Tangible products like Bibles and gift cards are fine, but it does limit the market or the shipping costs are prohibitively expensive unless we can find a local source to ship products somehow (ship BiblePay from a local person to local person).

What happens to existing CameroonONE sponsorships when we cut over to the mandatory upgrade? Will they continue to exist or do we need to re-sponsor children? I'm interested in sponsoring Kairos children as well, but it doesn't sound like integration testing is not complete yet...

Emission Schedule also changed to include Dynamic Whale Staking. Deflation going from 18% to 20%?

https://wiki.biblepay.org/Emission_Schedule

I categorized many of your wiki pages in Feb 2019 so they were better organized.

Now that we have POOM, the URLs can be queried directly from the wallet.  So what we need to do is expose these orphans in a list (and a collage) and make them clickable from DSQL, so we can refer partners to them (What are we doing to make the world a better place).

Sorry, I'm not clear on this... you will have web pages referring to the listchildren URLs?
Are new children waiting to be sponsored also going to be available to browse as well?

mmm nice idea, but we should discuss what will be better. if one time buy, or items can be sell many times to different buyers, or some auction, or if price will be fixed or some minimum specified or free will ...

This is a pretty cool idea, for example having one of our children make artwork for a cup or something.
But its not clear how we would distribute the sales price back to each constituent.  And what would the child get?  Maybe a bonus reward?

Yes I plan on voting for that woocommerce plugin.  But to be clear, I would be seeking other members of the community to make the production product sales site - for whatever they feel they want to sell - as I feel I will be pretty busy working on the new punch items in Q1 2020, so we would want someone to step up who has PHP experience, storefront beta or at least minimum experience or zeal and write the code and make it their baby and their site.

1) On the Kairos sponsorships:    So yes integration testing passed with Kairos and they have set up their prod environment - and we actually have the sporks set in Prod to go live with Kairos on Dec 26th.  The only thing we need to do is enable Kairos on that morning.  They have 21 children with us that we need to cut over into POOM.  We need sponsors for those kids.  I am glad you are interested; as I commit to sponsor any of them that are not taken on the 26th.  Please post here how many you - and any other interested parties may want to sponsor?  We can do this the same way as Cameroon.  When we sponsor the child mention the name.  Here is a list of our Kairos kids:

2) Yes, to pay for DWS (Dynamic Whale Staking), we have increased our deflation rate to 20.04% starting in Jan 2020.

3) To see the new DSQL child list please follow this example:

Orphans | Orphan List
Orphans | Orphan Collage

As we add more to poom, more will automatically sync into DSQL.

1) On the Kairos sponsorships:   ... Please post here how many you - and any other interested parties may want to sponsor?  We can do this the same way as Cameroon.  When we sponsor the child mention the name.  Here is a list of our Kairos kids:

I can sponsor 10.

mmm nice idea, but we should discuss what will be better. if one time buy, or items can be sell many times to different buyers, or some auction, or if price will be fixed or some minimum specified or free will ...

capulo -- good question. Also therogue mentioned the same idea. if items are recurring (service, music, video), you can keep the item in the store with multiple quantities. i was initially thinking scans of drawings, poems, etc  but I suppose even those can be sold multiple times. for now, if we keep it digital there isn't too much logistics involved with shipping.

This is a pretty cool idea, for example having one of our children make artwork for a cup or something.

thanks for intention to vote yeson the proposal. hopefully, its just a matter of installing wordpress, woocommerce plugin, the biblepay plugin, and you can build a store from there. i ran an ecommerce business for 10 years many eons ago, so I think I can handle one store. I found a good host for wordpress and it is costing me $14/yr. My domain registration cost more! So, on the low end, I think $3/mo is possible for share host and domain registration cost.

I was thinking one store per charity/community. Whatever items are paid for with BBP, the BBP goes to community on a monthly basis. if we forward a earnings statement to the community on a monthly basis, the child's "bonus" is recognition for their work. I'll have to defer to CameroonONE and Kairos on the cultural norms for competition and entrepreneurship. It is an interesting idea that merits more discussion. Let's keep the idea on the backburner for now...

** Decentralized Video List **

So far we have about 14,000 videos on the decentralized web:
https://web.biblepay.org

If anyone wants to start clicking on these.  Ill be adding about 50,000 more next week.
Note that my algorithm picks up a lot of junk along the way, so I will need to enable voting so we can vote to delete the junk as we go.
But for now at least the Christian content is starting to populate, in case calamity strikes.

These videos are all behind cloudflare so theoretically as long as they are viewed at least once a year, they would end up in the cloudflare cache.  The goal is to make these resilient across all countries of the world, and for the list to end up being a concise list.

You can type in a term, for example "calamity" in the upper right search bar and hit <enter> and it will filter.

Also, the orphan list is now deployed.

I am working on deploying the SEO feature next.

Great job on the orphan collage.

The video in Chrome opens as MP4 file. When I close the tab, it weird shows a video frame which I have to close. I realize this is all stuff being worked on still, but just reporting...  Will you have a github repo to report issues for web.biblepay.org ?

Thanks, this is the first compliment on DSQL, thank you.

So, in the mean time while I work on deploying the SEO link, please try this for watching a video:  If you want to see it as a stream, click the "View" link instead of the row (that theoretically opens it in a new window).  If you click the row, it opens a window.  Try hitting ctrl-f5, then view by clicking the row, then before watching another one, press <ESC>.  <ESC> kills the dialog contents and all the inner contents, on my chrome, but yes - if you find its a bug we will fix it.  But Ive tried about 25 now and they seem to work both ways on my browser (new window or dialog window).

As far as DSQL code base github, Yes, absolutely.  Im in the process of porting Microsoft SQL Server for Linux's support for DSQL now.  This will make it possible to host an 'edge node' with DSQL server in linux, and I think that will give us closer to unlimited scalability in DSQL for the future (this way, DSQL nodes will speak to each other with millions of records and lower latency, and also with powerful schemas (in contrast to Biblepay schemas), much higher scalability than plan old IPFS for our BIPFS records sync and DSQL acctg charges).  Once that is in and the Halford replication protocol is modified, I will make a github repo for DSQL.  Web.biblepay is just more code inside dsql, so any bugs could be reported in the DSQL branch.

Amazing work on the decentralized videos, Rob!

I would try to find junk by keyword search, for example, I would delete the 40 pages of videos which appear if you search for the word "lyrics".

A user in discord asked what makes BiblePay unique,
I did my best to try to answer him, and that led me to wanting to write an article about it

This is my draft for the questions, What is BiblePay? and What makes BiblePay unique?
https://pastebin.com/LM2DgK6H

Any and all feedback welcome!

=

The goal is for someone just sort of browsing us, without having to dig in too much, figure our our selling points

Rob your Nutritional Information wiki is a fantastic resource for this, it really does already answer the uniqueness question, in amazing detail!
