Either a balance issue or I somehow lost 590 DGC? I opened a trade order to trade DGC for BTC, but cancelled it after waiting 2 hours for the order to go through and BAM! after the order's cancellation all my DGC were gone. Been waiting a day and a half for an answer from their support staff??

User name: Aivan
Buy this yesterday:
2013-12-10 17:54:22 Buy NET/LTC 0.00008015 LTC 27584.69349511 NET 0.004421830 LTC 2.21533501 LTC
And place sell order. Today I cancel this order to let them be sold at market price...but all my NET coins disappeared. Lost profits - 6 LTC.
Cryptsy, will you return my coins? Will you compensate me for loss of earnings?
I cancel two other sales orders ... and coin also disappeared, i.e. they are not in my balance.
Disappointment ...
Exact same thing happened to me lost $350 worth of DGC after cancelling an order.

Keep buying an selling that particular coin and your total balance will show up. You can do this with very low amounts. - - Cryptsy is offline for me now.

I guess they know that means their site screwed up and needs to be unlocked to trade again. What a terrible start for alts just as they get some decent coverage, why did we rely only on cryptsy biggest mistake yet.

I logged in this morning to find that my BTC says - negative - how is that even possible and they have 1000000's of support tickets so you know it will not be sorted out for ages. Even then they just say audited and close the ticket? i don't think the coins always come back. Mostly they do but i am sure a few times they have not.

Just tried that and next two trades on the same pair disappeared too. So today it doesn't work Upd1: Or maybe MEC/BTC market is broken, last trade was almost an hour ago as I see. Upd2: Method worked eventually, coins are back in balance.

The current lag is really horrible indeed. I think those servers are about 99,8% of their capacity now, as the website also goes down sometimes. Come on Cryptsy, these problems are here for more than a week now I guess. Time enough to get some extra servers..

We need more exchanges , cryptsy would have fixed this by now if it was possible , it is beyond getting fixed, we need more alt exchanges. I wonder why nobody else has started one up? So now we sit here and wait while they waste 1000's of hours replying to support tickets and fixing this mess. Whilst more problems poor in. Crypsty are trying their best, but they can not get on top of this. The only option is more exchanges. A lot of chinese exchanges are adding alts, but sadly these are difficult to navigate even with translate clicked on. I wonder why nobody else is starting one up? is it that costly and difficult? I guess there is a lot more too it than we realise, the security side must be a nightmare, but still come on somebody here must have the resources to do it?

Indeed, I think it's really hard to create the trade engine and the security must be state of the art, as I think there are millions of dollars traded every day. TagBond (the company behind the great TagCoin) is changing their exchange to make it more easier and to be able to add more coins. It isn't finished yet, but keep an eye on it ( http://www.tagbond.com/12916 , yes, it's my refferal URL but it won't harm you. Allthough I don't even know what's in for me posting this URL ^^).

I do think it is getting much better than it was a couple weeks ago though I, like many here, have found myself short of coins due to Cryptsy glitches.
I don't think we need more exchanges -- if we all switched over from Cryptsy to a new exchange, we'd cripple it into having many of the same problems as Cryptsy is having with lag, unresolving pages, and other glitches, I'm sure (it'd probably be much worse yet still since it is doubtful a new startup would invest from the very beginning the kind of money Cryptsy now has)...
Cryptsy is a nice marketplace and I think it's great that so many altcoins can all be traded in one place. If we start fragmenting the market, it's just going to hurt everyone's user experience. What I honestly think we need to do is not be overly hard on Cryptsy -- I'm sure most glitches / account imbalances shall be rectified soon enough though filing complaints with the Florida Attorney General isn't going to do anything to help us get our account balances fixed nor is it going to do anything other than possibly make the situation worse for both Cryptsy and the altcoin community.

I don't see any trades processing right now? Seems the trade engine improvements did not have the desired effect.
Just buy a turnkey DC already, the individual server upgrades are obviously not getting it done.

Cryptsy at the moment for me is in a Hard Lock Nothing is happening. Yet orders still seems to be adding up. Nothing is moving. I'm curious would killing the API do anything?

Same here. I was thinking it was just the Elacoin page I was looking at but I guess it's the whole site huh?

"I'm curious would killing the API do anything?" I think it does. What I've read is that there are many "trade bots" trading over their. Killing the API would help.
I also PM'd BitJohn about an update. I think it's quite dump that BigVern added even more (LTC) markets, while the servers can't handle the current trades.
I don't see any trade happen now, but I'm not sure whether that is because of my negative balance (which I've got due to a bug) or whether that's like that for everyone.
