I changed from F2Pool to grinmint.
After some updates the Bminer doesn't produce so many rejected shares in this specific pool as it did before, right now I have 1302 accepted and 33 rejected (97.5% success rate). That's great!
However my average hashrate per 1080ti is shown as 6.00 while the miner and F2Pool's average were both showing 7.50. Any idea why could that be?

PS: Original message was the following but I wrote it here by accident, it was offtopic and I changed it,

It's good to see GRIN is taking a similar path to Ravencoin but (1) with a more interesting goal, (2) a better name, and (3) a good plan to integrate ASICs without making them enemies or allowing them to centralise the network.
For a price prediction, I'd look at Ravencoin's price and expect a similar movement but with a better long-term outlook.

What happen to my GTX 1080ti I'm getting around 3.53 fixed mining almost 8 hours but I got huge hashrate drop almost 50%?

What happen? The gtx 1080ti is in GPU 0?

This is a very low hash rate. use the latest miner and new drivers

Yes, this is still the only project that wants to make an attempt to use both the GPU and ASIC without harming each other.

Hi All ...

Curious to know what commandline is used for linux based BMiner to mine on NiceHash BEAM?

Any help would be appreciated, even if it just an example. Testing will commence as soon as we have the details. Seems we always get errors trying to run the miner with NiceHash.

Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone!
We are glad to announce that we just donated half of the collected Grin devfee so far to Grin general fund. And we’ll keep doing donations to Grin general fund.We are proud to support the Grin developer team and the future of Grin.
That's very nice and all but you REALLY should make a good AMD miner too... for Windows and both for C29 and C31. The alternatives currently are quite abhorrent. You've got a market there, surely.

Any chance to make win10 grin29 mining on 6gb card work? I think eth miner are able to use all of the gpu memory, so maybe there is a way?

dragonmike is correct with amd grin miners being terrible in hash/watt right now, but I'm blamining AMD for that

Don't blame the tools, blame the devs.

There is no such thing as nvidia-friendly or AMD-friendly algos. There's only bad (or not enough) developers.

Best example was Lyra2z last year. Everyone was saying "it's a nVidia algo, AMD suck at it"... until Todxx and Kerney666 showed us otherwise. Massively otherwise.

Has anyone been able to successfully use the RTX2060/2070 on Bminer yet?  Doesn't seem to be recognizing/communicating with the GPU drivers 410

They are working, but with some errors in the command line. But working.

Update your drivers, we are at 417.71

Hello!

I have 2 rigs working with bminer, one is 3x1080 and 4x1070ti, second is 3x1080ti and 7x1070ti

They both have identical mb(asrock btc pro), same memory 8gb, same cpu intel 4400

Swap is set to 58 gb on first, and 80gb on second

drivers are last 417.71
CUDA 9.2 and CUDA 10 installed

But bminer can not reach full hashing power on both rigs

Hash are vary from 2,9 to 4,7

Here is screen from first:
https://d.radikal.ru/d01/1901/0f/8f98f082a3e2.png

But i know someone who have similar cpu, his RAM are 4GB, and he is easily having around 5 gps per card

Can you give advice what can be done to fix that?
Thanks!

I think this is the same as I also described before here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2519271.msg49407882#msg49407882

The more GPU's in the rig, the more decreasing speed. Even with good CPU and enough Ram+Swap. Other miner it works perfect with even higher speed now. So its clearly an issue of BMiner.

But i have proofs from other guy, who have 7x1070ti rig with just 4GB(!) of RAM  and he have 5 gps per card easily

You have not so bad results compared to mine:)
I think there possible can be problem in the mixing of cards i.e. 1070ti with 1080 and etc.

Can Bminer devs say something?
Thanks

Code:
[INFO] [2019-01-29T22:26:44+01:00] Started miner on device 11
[INFO] [2019-01-29T22:26:44+01:00] CUDA error DRIVER: '2' in func 'bminer::equihash::Equihash1505SolverCuda::WaitForGPUTransfer' line 210
[FATA] [2019-01-29T22:26:44+01:00] Fatal cuda error in GPU 0. Terminate soon...
  • Latest DCH drivers for 1089 windows 10.
  • 94GB virtual memory
  • gminer works

I wanted to try if i get better hashrate then gminer, but bminer does not start. I don't think it is not enough virtual memory issue (these are on line 72 Smiley ).

Latest version starts puking out these error messages after a while:

"failed to fetch device status for device id: 1, Error code 999"

Hashrate drops by 20%, and CPU is completely maxed out - and no, it's not a Celeron.

Something's fukced up.
Please fix.

well with 5 GPU only hashrates are quite good on my rig, i think problem starts after 6 GPU, for example with 6 1080Ti even with larger pagefile 2 core cpu would have problems and hashrate would drop, maybe  6-8 core cpu should do better with 6-8 GPU or there's some kind of limitation at the moment with 6-8 gpu rigs using latest bminer build, as for celeron it can do well with 5X1080Ti, i use only 32gb pagefile and hashrates are quite high:

https://i.imgur.com/qglZGxH.png

even with 5 GPU my celeron G1840 works at 50%, so with 6+ GPU CPU utilization will be even higher and GPU hashrates will dicrease, with 7-8 GPU rig there should be quite high cpu bottleneck, maybe i7-8700 should do better with more RAM

No, same picture with i7 and 16 GB Ram: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2519271.msg49407882#msg49407882

I can see the same drop in your rig. First GPU is fine. 1+2+3 has less hashrate and GPU 4 a massive drop. Together as a whole picture: GPU 1-4 with normal hashrate, from GPU 5 a visible drop.

no fifth 1080 card is just different model and it's working with lower core speeds, difference is around 150MHZ between MSI gamer x 1080 and EVGA 1080 FTW using second bios with -50 core oc + teamviewer by the way in f2pool statistics average 24 hour hashrate is 30g.sec, while miner shows only 27.20g without using teamviewer, so there's no performance decrease on my rig, by the way first GPU is 1080Ti zotac amp on my rig with core oc 120+ all five gpu work at TDP 70% and 53-55% fan, temps are around 2-3 °C less than on skunkhash,X16R and other X algos

https://i.imgur.com/ndmFSVk.png
https://i.imgur.com/jiWii7d.png
https://i.imgur.com/hh3RpLD.png

maybe it's because increased fidelity in latest build:

Improved the miner fidelity by 8%-10%. You will not see big local difference but you will see roughly 10% higher speed on the pool side.

so there's definitely some problem with 6+ GPU rigs at the moment even with latest intel i7, also 1080Ti will need higher pagefile than 1070-1080 with just 8GB VRAM, well 7-8 GPU rig need at least 120gb ssd with just only 4gb ram but at the moment performance drop would be quite big on such systems even with i7, i have only 60gb and there's only 10gb free space left with 32gb pagefile, but system stability is quite good in 24 hour mining period, even with 5X1080Ti maybe there's some performance drop using higher pagefile and 120gb ssd, since 60gb partition won't be enough with 5X11GB VRAM GPU + 1080Ti need higher cpu usage than 1080
i haven't tested beam hashrates and profits yet on nicehash with equahash 150.5 algo, i think it doesn't need so large pagefile and should do around 0.0016-0.0018 bitcoins per day with 120-130 Sol/s hashrate, later they should add grincoin as well, grin-beam-Zcoin are most profitable coins to mine at the moment, but grin at the moment has highest income on my rig
