I think we are trying to offer hardware at a price that will support fast ROI - 2 months if prices hold up, less if prices continue to climb. Those that complained about prices back in September/October got very quiet as BTC skyrocketed. This is great - we cheer for our customers who had the courage to pre-order with us and now reap the benefit! At this time, the only pre-order-able offer from me is going to be reels (deliver mid-late February) at $5/chip, or full mines (minimum 250TH, contact me if you are interested). I will not be able to provide CC processing for chips by the reel, sorry. Oh - after the debacle of last minute cancellations on reels, I won't be offering a refund policy on them. They are Non Cancel - Non Return items. I plan to turn on sales of H-cards tomorrow. Remember, V1 H-cards will take a bit longer to get, but our manufacturer is very fast. I will sell as many of those as you guys demand. I do have some V1-V2 M-boards also, so I can offer some old-style full rigs. Note that I am not planning on opening sales for full new rigs just yet - though it may happen. The main intention is to support our V1 & V3 rig customers. New style H-cards (marked V2.2) can ship immediately and are not pre-mined. I'll turn on sales for USB miners maybe by this weekend, so you can buy them for stocking stuffers There's also been a fair bit of demand for faulty fix-it-yourself cards. I think I'll find a way to sell those, as I have a few hundred sitting in boxes. Best, Dave Do you have a large supply coming and expect the sales to last for a while. Or do we need to stampede to the checkout? Lol. I'd love a bunch of new cards to eventually fill up my September and October partial kits. But the price is a bit steep for me to be able to do that in a short period of time. You should have been quicker on the draw though. I was forced to throw Bitcoins at a preorder not scheduled for delivery for another 6 months (KNC Neptune), an unproven Chinese company (BitMain) and BFL for god's sake. If you had been just a week quicker I could have thrown over 24 more bitcoins into you coffer. But that's just probably "walking around money" for you these days.

Just thinking about this pricing issue a little more and I'm feeling a bit better about it now. It's really matter of perspective and if you don't get hung up on the price you used to pay, it's really not a bad deal at all.
In the day of the $500 H board, I was so excited that I could earn enough BTC to buy another board every week or two and I still had to wait for the batches to be delivered. Now I can buy a new board nearly every day as long as BTC stays around $1000 and it will be immediately delivered. Granted, I have quite a bit more hashing power than I did then. But it's all been due to my reinvesting BTC back into mining gear.
But the real kicker is this little gem... the price of an H board is going up about 225% or so. But since the day of the $500 H board, BTC has gone up something like 700%. Is my math right? Lol.
So it's all relative people. Don't panic! Yeah, I was looking forward to $300 H boards too. But I'll gladly take the 700% rise in the price of BTC over cheap H boards any day.

BTC dive down fast now.
That was quite a drop! Totally expected. At 1200 per BTC someone was going to eventually break and dump 20 or 30 thousand BTC in the market and cash out. We have a handful of new Bitcoin millionaires! Hopefully you guys spent your BTC before the market adjusted itself back to normalcy! Now its back to collect the BTC and wait for a new bubble.

* Gets ready to start throwing money at Dave again ... *
Yes....a lot of money... If the price are like the EU shop... Bad news is that the price is much higher. New H-cards will sell for 850€ a piece + VAT. Please don't blame me for the prices as I'm not the one who sets them.
Pretty sure the price will be going up, not down. So prepare yourself for the reality. $500 H boards will seem like a steal now. And expect Punin to do the same. The ASIC market is a much different place than it was a month ago. We probably won't see the price decrease until the competition starts flooding the market with the next wave or if bitcoin crashes... whichever comes first. We know which one came first ;-)

It is very misleading if you're assuming difficulty will not rise during those 2 months. I'd expect to see a pretty large bump over Q1 2014. This is when 65/55nm devices will become 'obsolete'.

I am interested in buying faulty boards. Hope to hear something about that from Dave soon, but I will also buy direct from anyone monitoring this thread that has hardware sitting doing nothing for them. Same goes for anyone with bare chips laying around. PM me with your asking prices, I am not looking to low ball anyone and am open to any negotiation so all parties involved get a good deal.

Dec 7th and I'm still waiting to get my Oct unit running. I had to rma it after about 10 days and it was extremely late getting here the first time. Now it's the same story all over again, excuse after excuse for not getting it in the mail. I only live 20 minutes away, I would have it the next day if they would actually mail it.

I imagine those would take additional work since they need to be marked in some way to distinguish them from the new boards. IE: The folks that buy a new A/C at wally world and return the 12 year old clunker in the box a week later.

The site is broken. When you go to checkout it lists the price as $0 and you cannot pay. Also $999 per h-card?! Get real!
Let's see here, spend $7992 for 8 h-cards get ~280 GH??!
