I invested more on alts,now my portfolio has got bigger than i am holding only BTC.

I think you need to look at XEM, Ardor and Monero. These coins are good to buy now, and they have a great future in my opinion.

The only coin i can tell for sure it is safe to invest would be Bitcoin, because it is the first and it is the benchmark to the cryptocurrency market. Everything else can go both ways. Just my opinion.

Litecoin is a good choice to invest but the more you will invest, the more you might loose. So, I'd recommend to split up this sum of money to make an extra profit and decrease your risks.

I think you need to look at XEM, Ardor and Monero. These coins are good to buy now, and they have a great future in my opinion.
XEM is very popular on assian markets including Japan. JPY markets are very favorite ones of XEM. And the price can across $1 this year. Ardor and Monero, I don't know, they're still good, but I would go for waves. My expectation is high. |

Which is a safe coin to invest in the long term? How long should I hold it? Is there a risk that I might lose it all? I am a noob in cryptocurrencies. Help.  I was thinking Litecoin, is it a good idea? First of all, investing comes with risks. There will always be possibility to lost your capital. I will suggest you to spilt your $12000 investment into a few coins to diversify the risks. And always do your research before investment. My suggestion is to invest in BTC, ETH and LTC. |

simple buy a bitcoin, and hold this . if you have doubt then you can buy eth,waves,etn,xrp,neo. specially eth and waves is most valuable for me now.

There is no measurements of safety here. That is what should be always bear in mind that there will no assurance here. Once you invest, no one can assure you the profit. We only have hopes for the coins we invest to grow further. That is why investment in crypto is known to be risky because no matter how deep you study in a coin, the risk is always part of the investment.

Good point there. $12000 for me is already a huge amount to invest in just 1 coin. And since there is no assurance, chance of losing is very high. Better split your investment on chosen altcoins. Coinmarketcap will give some ideas on top altcoin which you can invest. There is still no assurance but altcoins listed at the to already built its stability. |

If I have $12000 this moment I will probably buy it on cheap cryptocurrencies out there that I really think that has the better chance to increase its market value this coming days so that I can be able to get back what I had invested for and at the same time take some profits from it and then reinvest it again on the same tactics again and again.
I agree, I would give chance to promising cheap coins, if you are thingking for long tearm, i guess cheap coins will give you more profit in the future, and also you can add more altcoins when you invest on cheap coins that those very expensive coins in the market. If I were you, I would choose at least 15 cheap altcoins to invest and hold it patiently. But of course I would still invest on maybe 2 top altcoins listed on coinmarketcap. |

There are a lot of good coins available on the market. If you are looking for a safe and a simple coin go for Bitcoin. There are a lot of wallets for it and it is easy to use like on blockchain.info.
In a long term investment i would go for Ethereum. This coin is very strong and i think that it will keep on going rising in the near future.

I would buy a diverse portfolio of 10 coins you like. Make sure you hold these: LBC PART DCR FCT MAID You will not regret it  Hold them for 2 years. Those are utility coins. Very good ones.   |

Youre just wanting to invest and asking for good investment not knowing how and what are the risks in it and it depends on your needs to how low are you gonna last. Bitcoin for slight term investment. But if you want to risk all of that in a matter of years in term BITCOINCASH AND ETHEREUM ARE The right choice best for you. |

There is no investment in the world that can guarantee a 100% risk free, especially in cryptocurrency investment, though you can manage that risk by studying carefully the type of coin you want to invest. My personal choice is BTC and ETH, this two crypto have post very good growth this year and has been constantly icreasing its value for the last seven years. Bitcoin’s popularity has grown so much that just a few months ago just a few in my community knows about this currency, now I dont know anybody who dont have an idea about bitcoin. What I am pointing is, this crypto will grow constantly and will not vanish anytime soon, so it is good to invest in this currency for the long term.

There are will be many option of coin because now many new project that has big potential, and many new people jump in to cryptocurrency so that the volume and market cap increasing, and this is also make the price of some coin increasing alot. In my opinion some coin that has huge potential and good for long term investment is Bitcoin, ETH, DASH, WAVES, OMG, AION, POWR, VEN, ADA. Make portfolio by 50% Bitcoin and other 50% for altcoin is good idea to maximize the profit.
