Which is a safe coin to invest in the long term?
How long should I hold it?

Is there a risk that I might lose it all?

I am a noob in cryptocurrencies. Help.  Huh

I was thinking Litecoin, is it a good idea?

I would buy bitcoin, as it is the main currency in crypto and all market following its price and trend.
But as technology Litecoin I like mose, transactions are cheaper and faster then in Bitcoin blockchain. At least whle Ligtning network haven't started yet.

If you invest for a long time, I would choose NEO and bitcoin cash. In my opinion, these two coins will be more expensive in the future. But this is provided that bitcoin will not fall.

I recently invested 10,000 dollars in Monero, Waves and Bitcoin Gold. I chose these coins because of the low level of capitalization. Wink

you should do a good analysis to invest in the world of cryptographic currencies. A different subcoins investment can be made for $ 12,000. these subcoins are Mtc, Seth, Dovu

In my opinion you can invest $12k in different currencies because if you invest in one currency the risk will be very high and if you are ready to take risk then ICO also a good investment plat from, some good ICO's reached price 10x profit level in 6 month period, but ICO selection is very important,. Another option you can invest in many cheap altcoins. and Bitcoin ,litecoin, eth, ripple, neo etc.. also good investment in low risk. anyway you all way remember crypto currency investment is very high risk investment platform.

There are numbers of coins in the market, almost 1600. And it is equally hard to pick good coins. However, some good coins I think are ethereum, stellar, cardano, tron, gas, neo, ripple, litecoin, nem etc. But it is up to you to choose good ones.

Litecoin is a good choice to invest but the more you will invest, the more you might loose. So, I'd recommend to split up this sum of money to make an extra profit and decrease your risks.

BTC and ETH are the safest coins to invest in the long therm. $12k is a lot of money and I wouldn't invest only in one or two coins. It's better to split it on at least 5coins from top10 and use also invest some of the money in ICOs and some cheap coins.

a lot of new coins appear  every day on the market and also a lot news appears (positive and negative) also every day  which  influence on the token value that why it is very difficult to choose right object of investment. If I were you I would not invest money in the coins with big  capitalization, because probably they will not make some 2X  3x and so on

If you're new to crypto and have that much money to invest, then invest carefully and i suggest a secure but long term investments. Consider Ethereum or Bitcoin for starters.

if I think $ 12000 is a huge amount if for a long term investment it is suitable to buy ethereum because ethereum is more in use than other coins and ethereum will grow big in the future

I think, the aim might be correctly using 600 bucks assigned around nine cryptocurrencies balancing among three positions at least.
