It's a very big risk not to diversify your funds and buy-in in only one coin, 12k it's quite a big amount of money, you should spread it buy your own strategy for example 30% in top-market capitalization coins, 30% in perspective new altcoins, 15% trading, 15% invest in ICO, 10% in fiat

First of all I don't think it's an good idea to invest in I coin all your deposit.
Second - there is no safe place to invest in this world, and as more profitable it can be, as more risky the investment is.
For long term I would recommend you to split you deposit is few parts and buy Bitcoin(25%), ETH(25%), Monero, EOS, Cardano, Pundix and other promising coins.

All investment is risky, there is still a chance that you will lose your money in investment because no one can tell what will happen in the future. I think it is safe to invest your money to more than one coins so that when one of your investment does not succeed you still have other coins that can return what you have lost from your other investment. But more importantly invest only the amount that you can afford to lose...

Which is a safe coin to invest in the long term?
How long should I hold it?

Is there a risk that I might lose it all?

I am a noob in cryptocurrencies. Help.  Huh

I was thinking Litecoin, is it a good idea?
I think this is the best amount to invest in the coins. I recommend you to invest in these coins RIPPLE, ETH & BTC . At this moment is the price very huge and I believe if you invest in these coins it's will give you 5x profit in these next few months.

I really agree if you choose litecoin to invest, to become a trader you have to be brave and ready to take risks, that my experience in the field of investment in the world crypto, especially with long-term coin, patient and always be patient, always monitor the price, hopefully you get the benefit always in the world of crypto, success always.

Why not Ethereum because that coin is more popular than that of Litecoin.

There is a very promising project. REMME is specifically developed to solve the problem of security of passwords in online networks. Most often, we see cases of hacked social networking accounts and even emails are not left out too. REMME will solve this Problem.

I think that the best choices for long term investing is Ethereum, and may be some ICO, but I would keep over 50% in the top two coins.

I wonder what the author eventually invested in and what he now has losses ...
Even now, I would not buy a currency. The market is in a state of decline, I'm sure that bitcoin will be cheaper than now.

That is quite a huge amount to invest so i think the best thing you should do is read about the coins that you think have a huge potential. Anyhow, investing requires huge risk eapecially if you invest quite a huge amount of money and yes, the chances of losing some of it is actually possible. With that amount, i suggest you invest it in 3 or 4 different coins, meaning, diversify your portfolio. With this strategy, chances of gaining profit is higher especially if you do long term investment.

I would be careful about taking advice from random people online, but it's worth noting that diversification is a great way to lessen risk. Just be prepared to lose everything put into cryptocurrencies.

This is a fairly large amount, which should be divided into several coins and form a portfolio of 15-25 currencies.

I would invest in Litecoin no more than 20% of the amount. The remaining 80% was distributed among other coins in equal shares. So you will have 5 coins for $ 2500 each.

I think, litecoin good for a long-term investment, will give you an advantage in the next 2-3 years and I would advise you not to forget some of these coins for investment.

From the very scratch and right now, so here's to take 12000 and on the run invest.  In my opinion it is necessary to sit down in detail and most to understand!

Invest it into NEO, otherwise known as the Ethereum of China. I honestly believe that it will break the $1k mark within two years, meaning if you invest now you'll see more than 10x returns.
