Why do the number of addresses fall every now and then? I would assume the graph should have gone up all the time, no? When people lose interest in bitcoin, I would have thought that they would just uninstall their wallet apps or something. Are they deactivating their addresses as well?

They fall because some months there's more users signing up than others. Whenever bitcoin gets a huge amount of media attention there will be masses more new users jumping on board the bitcoin train to the moon. Addresses cannot be deactivated, but they can stop being used, but this is just a graph of the number of new bitcoin addresses being generated. I expect it to keep rising for the next few months but excitement will die down eventually and they will then fall again.

I think the btc price will fall after the price touches the ceiling, but will only decrease slightly rather than too low. And that is an opportunity for investors. They bought btc and that contributed to the price increase again. I can see some connection between number of bitcoin's addresses and its success or downfall. But in the same time it is not accurate sign. If we have more addresses that means there are more users, and if number of users increase that is good for bitcoin. The quick rise recently looks a bubble and possibly is. That doesn't mean that Bitcoin won't be even higher in price later. Us, as a community, developers and all the people involved in this world, supporting it in different ways can make it rise or die miserably because an idea, a project without any support, followers is destined to die forgotten.

On the other hand, it's natural for the amount of bitcoin addresses that have been used to increase but it doesn't reflect an increases in usage. As you can see in the chart, Bitcoin is very volatile and that is what make some says that it will have a great fall.
But due to my interests in cryptocurrencies I  conclude that there is no predictions with Bitcoin.
No body expected a raise to 17k US dollars, and no body can predict anything in this mysterious world.

Bitcoin has become mainstream, it turns out some people open a lot of wallets to split their Btc savings.

Well it is a general observation that whenever any cryptocurrency touches its current ceiling it will definitely go down. Some say it is some sort of correction and other say the bubble burst.  But at the end, as long as the market is not fully saturated bitcoin will definitely increase in price again or rebound and reach a new ATH.  It had happened several times and it will happen again.

Nothing lasts forever and bitcoin could fall out of favour or be replacerd by something much better. It's only the first crypto currency remember and there are still lots of teething problems and growing pains that need to be overcome.

who knows the future, But you have to take a risk regarding this issue. Bitcoin price is totally dependent on the bitcoin holders. when they will start selling their stock at a time then the price will fall down.

I wouldn't say that Bitcoin will fall, I just think it will get surpassed by another cryptocurrency. At the moment it takes about an hour and $10 in fees if you're making payment. Of course it gets faster if you're paying higher fees but that is not going to work for everyday payments in shops and etc.
I think BTC is worth more than other cryptos because it was first of its kind and eventually it will get surpassed by other technologically more advanced crypto. Many people think this put both prices are going down now it's making me nuts! I don't see one taking other that extraordinary rise was most likely due to some exchange named coinbase adding BCH onto their exchange which pumped it. I think when the balance is empty, blockchain.info counts it as inactive/used address. Also, deactivating address isn't possible.

No i don't agree with it that bitcoin will fall because bitcoin is very much unpredictable. No one can say when the price will rise or fall. Last year also at the end it took the upturn. So according to me bitcoin will not fall.

No, according to me this is not possible.Bitcoin is one of the important cryptocurrency.No doubt flunctations are common in bitcoin,but that does not mean that bitcoin will fall.Bitcoin has the potential to recover.It is sure that bitcoin will not fall instead it will improve all and will reach a great height in coming decades.

I don't think pessimistic regarding bitcoin's market status today. I think it's better if i will just hold on my bitcoin and other digital assets as much as i can until the real bullish market starts.

Bitcoin won't fall, from your chart it seems to me that empty balance wallet doesn't come to the blockchain chart because it is active account chart. However, Bitcoin can't be judged  with the number of account number.

Bitcoin is already fall it's price from december 2017 to october 2018 until now the price of bitcoin is not already recover and waiting for a big wave.
