The payout is pretty low these few weeks, what happened?Huh

For the past two weeks combined, we have made 0.0177 BTC per MH/s per day

The week before that we did poorly because of my FTC mistake, wasting hashrate for several hours one day.

LTC mining by itself is currently at 0.136. It was higher earlier in the week. I should probably log LTC profitability over time, to give a more accurate comparison.

See http://middlecoin.com/profitgraph.html for a day to day profit per hashrate display.

for 1.5MH, there is no point mining here as the difficulty level (512) is too high for such small hash rate.

It's fine to mine at difficulty 512, even at 1 MH/s. It just means that you'll have a slightly higher payout variability because you'll only be submitting a share every minute or so.

So I'm wasting my time here with 440kh/s? Time to try out hashco.ws.

Yep.  You are wasting your time everywhere.  Just find a pool with VARDIFF or somewhere you can find a low difficulty.  It will definitely make you feel better to reduce those variances for your electricity waster. Cheesy

I'd say that any hashrate above 100 kh/s has a negligible amount of variance when mining with a difficulty of 512 over the course of a day. I'm not going to do the math, but I'd guess it's something like 0.1 standard deviations.

I don't get it. I have to get over 1.5Gh/s to make it worthwhile to mine? What kind of rigs do much more than that? Everyone here got 2 7990s or more per rig? What if I have free electricity? I'm just going along with the thread. Sounds like I'm wasting time here by what people are saying. What you running, btw?

I'm not running anything anymore.  Mining was fun, but I was just breaking even with the extra money on electricity I was spending, so I bought some coins and will likely buy more in the future.

It was fun at first, but the noise was getting to me.  If you have free electricity then go for it.  Difficulty just reduces variance though, so if you are mining long term then it doesn't really matter.  Some days will be better than others.  That's how mining alt-coins goes...

That's nine cents.

I cleared up all the stuck coins a while ago. Some more may have accumulated since then. I have a minor bug where sometimes a small portion of coins don't get moved over to the unexchanged column, and I have to periodically go in and fix them.

It's a reporting error related to cryptsy being down I believe. Working on it.

Edit: OK it should be fixed.

Have you been looking at the markets at all?
Scrypt/alt-coins are in the shitter......

Although if you do the math, the rise in BTC price more or less counteracts the drop a bit

the tendency to require profitability  at all times is getting harder and harder to maintain. With big GPU fish testing new waters and alt coins being abandoned for BTC profits......the days of the home miner are numbered

It happens.

Buy low, sell high.

But, yea, looking at the graphs, it stings a bit.
