well - now if I can figure out the block reward from memorycoin....then I can finish this page.

there is no way that is correct.I'm mining both and i can tell you 100% that you will make a lot more mining quarkcoin selling and buying prime if prime is what you want.

try it on 2 identical machines, quarks roll in primes do not.

Just to add:
Quarkcoins diff is 256 times off:
this means on bitcoin, litecoin and so on you need at average 2^32 hashes for a diff 1 target, in Quarkcoin you need at average only 2^24 (for diff 1 target)
So if you wan't to compare the diff with other coins, you need to divide the divv by 256.

Probably why this page is still on the side and not ready for prime time.  I will take it down as the comparison still doesn't seem quite that easy.
It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

I'm mining at 320kH/s. Is this fast or slow?

Matthew:out
How many blocks do you generate?
It's okay for CPU i guess.

What about comparing Quark to Primecoin and Memorycoin.  Is there a conversion between those two coins as well?  I know the percentages between BTC will be off, but really the point of the page is comparing similar coins.

I'm not sure I'm following - is there a GPU miner for quarkcoin?
Almost done, 1.2MHs on 6770, still plenty of room for optimization. Not sure that I will release it, SRC coin is approaching Smiley

Maybe we should set up a bounty?

I pool mine, since I don't have my computer on 24/7.

In 2 1/2 hours, I generate roughly 75 shares.

QNq6Y2nKeojboyQywe3ZxaU3Mp4yTV4VMG

2^24 * 193.36314601 / 320000 = 10137 seconds/block = ~168 minutes/block = ~2.5 hours/block = No solo mining for me Sad

That SCAM thread with the 1:1 copy of quarkcoin (even the same genesis transaction) is funny.

Can someone see what has happened to transaction 2f6f257cec044783a1f4dc40ef7ae190a0e6dead56eb2ba3a8b15410b923b5f1?

It's been almost an hour and still no confirmations.

The block explorer won't even search for it Sad

Also, can I have permission to call 1,000 Quarkcoins a Charm?

Why not 1024 ;-)

Using the direct link for the transaction yields also no results:
http://176.221.46.81/tx/2f6f257cec044783a1f4dc40ef7ae190a0e6dead56eb2ba3a8b15410b923b5f1

But, when there are no confirmations, shouldn't it be normal to be not visible?
Maybe that transactions consinst of too many smaller ones?
No idea

Lol, sure, call it a Charm Smiley

As for your transaction, try restoring to a previous version of your wallet and resend in smaller chunks. Your transaction size might be too large if the transaction has too many inputs (there's a 100 Kilobyte transaction limit).

P.S. Always backup your wallet before sending coins.

Ha ha. I made no backups (massive noob), so it looks like those 3000 QRK has just disappeared off the face of the earth, unless I can get my wallet to replay the entire blockchain...

It's only a 3 Charm transaction to one address. No idea what size that would equate to.
