so I've tried everything I can find from the OP links and everything from the last few pages of the thread and absolutely can't mine on a pool.
Either the miners I was told to download have
massive malware trigger on my av/firewall (that one was a mistake click by me for sure*) or it flips to a download about 7 things of bloatware and even after declining them all but clicking next to go through it won't download the miner at all (a linked miner repeatedly in this thread and was again recently linked--I can't figure out how to download it b/c it won't).
I can't figure out how to mine this on a pool (presuming solo is useless at this point) without putting bloatware or malware on my computer.
I'm really starting to hate this coin. How the flip is anyone buying this? I figure if I can't mine this without complete shit on my computer that others can't either.
Yeah, I'm kinda mad. That's scamcoin crap.
*it's via one of the pools in the OP, seriously with these OP's on the coins clean then up once in awhile ffs.
we get it we want more user friendly miners - we are working !

See, at this point buying quarks will be more sensible if you don't know the technicals (especially if you're running things like Windows which have a massive virus-spyware-antivirus-refomat-reinstall-fake positive issues; it's a problem in it's own). Look at the difficulty. It's never been this high.

Oh no, this's just the beginning. I don't expect difficulty and prices to ever fall back. I think it'll continue to rise for 15 days at least. 15 days is at least required to wake up the community.

What the? Go to: http://www.quarkcoin.com/Click on windows wallet Then click on File -> Download There are plenty of QT Wallet tutorials around. Create your config file, unblock your ports and your mining Oh! and you can't mine while your wallet is locked. My quarkcoin.config for solo mining looks like: listen=1 maxconnections=80 addnode=182.130.166.43 addnode=182.141.94.11 addnode=192.241.201.157 addnode=88.248.114.86 addnode=110.190.250.17 addnode=198.20.109.153 addnode=173.208.241.198 addnode=64.120.17.150 addnode=110.88.99.113 addnode=80.74.157.31 addnode=125.94.225.137 addnode=125.89.216.186 addnode=92.118.0.168 addnode=95.95.110.66 addnode=31.131.212.202 addnode=116.255.219.7 addnode=98.167.196.51 addnode=105.236.173.157 addnode=quarkcoin.no-ip.biz gen=1 genproclimit=2

Add your +1 to the this post if you also want an ASCII symbol for Quarkcoins. You can't be serious. Believe it or not, having an ASCII symbol to represent Quarkcoin is a HUGE deal. It's truly a breakthrough, at least in the sense that it will position Quarkcoin close to Bitcoin, Litecoin and other currencies that have their own ASCII symbol for text representation. Why does that work? Obviously, it's a psychological effect, it gives a sense of certainty to the coin, and the bottom line is, more investors.
