...Look I don't doubt the real hardware talent is there, and they will tapeout in just over a week now as promised. They have to, they've made the bold statements, and that's been verified by the third party responsible.
What concerns me is the sleazy business practices of shady marketing that also exists and they have pulled blatantly several times this week alone. They don't give two ****s about using your personal info for their gain. They know how eager people are motivated for serious contenders in this area and will hand over their info without thinking, and they've just openly admitted they plan to sell it on and have hired at least one guy specialising in just that.
When caught red handed they initially try giving a flaky excuse, when that backfires, silence. This is Mickey Mouse marketing where the marketing 'guru' justifies his existence through numbers duped, as opposed to numbers of loyal and happy clientele...
Change the privacy policy now. Even then, to be fair I don't think I trust my data to be safe now. Maketing BS pisses me off.
I don't think our outlooks are that far apart, i simply haven't seen anything other than horrible marketing thus far. I haven't even bothered dropping a line to Uniquify to ask them to confirm or deny the "Project Status Report," though it would take only minutes. (Project status report? From Senior VP of *Marketing*? 4realz?) Other than their fail marketing and PR, they've given us nothing. They offer nothing else for us to discuss objectively. Have a look through the thread, all the evidence and now dead links are there... My outlook differs to yours in that I believe they potentially have the talent and ability to do this legitimately. The dodgy marketing reeks though. Third strike in a week and my stance has changed. Someone above stated they suffer from over confidence. There's a difference in being confident you can deliver, and using slimey marketing that exudes smugness and the belief you can take potential customers and their personal info for granted. But yeah it's the weekend, offski. Enjoy!

crumbs, nobody here trusts them completely, we're all just watching.
I am not asking you to trust them.
I am asking you to stop trolling. Saying that because they haven't made a chip yet proves they can't make a chip does nothing for the thread. It is circular reasoning, a complete fallacy. Look at the criticism Bitcoinorama made, that is well balanced and fair.
I never elaborated on how much you trust them -- i simply pointed out that they have offered nothing thus far to warrant our trust. While setting off every scam alarm. I did explain why a company like AMD would have an easier time convincing me than HashFast, but Bitcoinorama asked. You're mistaken about my reasoning being circular. I have never implied that HashFast can't make a chip because they've never made one. I merely suggested that they have given exactly zero reason for us to believe they would. It is circular to argue that i can not lay a golden egg because i never have laid one before. It is perfectly reasonable, on the other hand, to suggest that i won't lay one for multiple other reasons. Just pointing out your lapse of logic. If you wish, i can also argue that if i have seen a goose lay a golden egg before, i'd tend to trust that goose more if it promised to lay another one. Call me gullible. As far as fairness goes, asking me to exercise restraint while they hire shills, sycophants & marketers is anything but fair. Agreed?

1. AMD is an established company with proven track record, HashFast? Lolz.
And so is Uniquify. Duh. 2. If i was investing money in AMD, you'd better believe i'd know more about them than "Derp, 28nm and awesomeness."
And you're not invested in these guys and no one is asking you too. Of course they're asking for money. In this very forum. Just a few posts above, a user setting up a group buy asked for contact info. Instead of replying "There's nothing to buy yet, you goof," The contact info was instantly offered. No other questions are addressed. Ever.
That was a 3rd party, and I said at the time it was ridiculous to ask for $500k with the information given, which was none. Apparently they are letting some people come and get detailed information under NDA. And who knows, maybe those people are getting ripped off. Since I'm not one of them I have no idea nor do I claim to. But that's beside the point. I'm not saying the chips will be a good deal. We haven't seen pricing or anything like that. They could have a chip and be trying to rip people off also. But there's nothing to suggest that the chip itself is somehow fake. ___

Yeah, except that's false. It is circular to argue that i can not lay a golden egg because i never have laid one before. It is perfectly reasonable, on the other hand, to suggest that i won't lay one for multiple other reasons. Just pointing out your lapse of logic.
You haven't presented a single reason to think they don't have a chip at all. All you're doing is pointing out an absence of evidence. But there's no reason why the company should disclose any of that information at all to people they're not currently asking for money from. Obviously we don't know what's going on behind these closed-door meetings with large investors. They could be making promises they can't actually deliver on, we don't know. But there is plenty of evidence to suggest they actually have a chip, and no evidence to suggest they don't have a chip. Them being scammers, and them not having a chip are two separate things. Look at BFL, for example. They are pretty close to scammers - promising units far earlier then they could possibly deliver. And yet clearly, they also have a chip design.

Why not? Other people have done it. Why don't you do it yourself instead of running around claiming it could theoretically have been faked. If it fake then these people are probably guilty of fraud.

1. AMD is an established company with proven track record, HashFast? Lolz.
And so is Uniquify. Duh. In your mind, HashFast is Uniquify? Lolz. You don't pick up on subtleties, so i'll spell it out for you: HashFast is *not* Uniquify. Next time you're confused, just ask me in words, instead of blurting "duh." 2. If i was investing money in AMD, you'd better believe i'd know more about them than "Derp, 28nm and awesomeness."
And you're not invested in these guys and no one is asking you too. Well, you're wrong again. They're asking me to. You're batting zero for two thus far, champ. Of course they're asking for money. In this very forum. Just a few posts above, a user setting up a group buy asked for contact info. Instead of replying "There's nothing to buy yet, you goof," The contact info was instantly offered. No other questions are addressed. Ever.

Apparently they are letting some people come and get detailed information under NDA. And who knows, maybe those people are getting ripped off. Since I'm not one of them I have no idea nor do I claim to. That's right. And and we ain't tellin' you nothin' 'coz it's secrit. You look like a excellent Three-card Monte player, care for a few quick games? But that's beside the point. I'm not saying the chips will be a good deal. We haven't seen pricing or anything like that. They could have a chip and be trying to rip people off also. But there's nothing to suggest that the chip itself is somehow fake.
There's nothing to suggest the chip itself is fake because there is no chip. Listen good: NO CHIP, that's why nothing suggests that it's fake. Lawdy. I never elaborated on how much you trust them -- i simply pointed out that they have offered nothing thus far to warrant our trust. While setting off every scam alarm.
I merely suggested that they have given exactly zero reason for us to believe they would.
Yeah, except that's false. I know, i know, you believe, so someone does. OK, i'll rephrase it: They have given *adults* zero reason to believe they would. Happy now? It is circular to argue that i can not lay a golden egg because i never have laid one before. It is perfectly reasonable, on the other hand, to suggest that i won't lay one for multiple other reasons. Just pointing out your lapse of logic.
You haven't presented a single reason to think they don't have a chip at all. My differently-enabled friend, i'll type slowly so that you may understand: There is no chip. U R the only 1 who thinks there is. You're the only one, sweetness. All you're doing is pointing out an absence of evidence. But there's no reason why the company should disclose any of that information at all to people they're not currently asking for money from.
Three-card Monty? The game's still on!
RU4realz? They do not have a chip. That's a fact no one but you is disputing. If, clever as you are, you wish to get in on the action, U go right ahead. K?

OMG. Uniquify is the one designing the chip. How have you not gotten that through your head? HashFast is also based out of Uniquify's offices. There's nothing to suggest the chip itself is fake because there is no chip. Listen good: NO CHIP, that's why nothing suggests that it's fake. Lawdy.
There is a chip design. There's nothing to suggest the chip itself is fake because there is no chip. Listen good: NO CHIP, that's why nothing suggests that it's fake. Lawdy. You are becoming completely incoherent. There is a chip design. Uniquify is doing the chip design. Uniquify has said the chip design will be ready to tape out in August. There is no evidence to suggest that Uniquify is being dishonest or won't be able to deliver what they've stated they'll do. Does that mean HashFast is an honest company? No. But you are claiming that the chip is fake, or won't happen, and you've presented absolutely zero evidence for that position, and seemingly don't comprehend what's going on at all. FFS, even BFL has a working chip. Having a working chip does not mean that you should give them your money. There are a lot of other things to worry about. But there is evidence to suggest they will make a chip, and no evidence to suggest that they will not, except for your own delusional paranoia. I'm assuming you don't have 5,000 BTC sitting around, in which case no one has asked for your money.

at least they should start to take preorders soon! can't wait to give my money away... someone located in this area to give a visit? HashFast Technologies LLC 97 South Second Street #175 San Jose, CA 95113 Wohoooo! It's just a few blocks from where I live. So proud of my Silicon Valley. I'm on vacation but I'll probably contact them later on to pay them a visit. I'll be on day one in line the day they start selling just like with an Apple store (except I'm going to be escorted by some dudes since it'll be like walking out with gold from a store). Go SV! Go SV!! to lead the technology charge and leave behind in the war zone the sucker, douchey and geek-wanna-be redneck company from Kansas. (You know which company I'm specifically talking about! ;-)

Idiot. I almost feel guilty delivering the coup de grace, but... Since you used the red glowy Read it again, interweb sleuth! Does it say *whose* offices you'll be touring? No. It does not. It sez "Tour the office at Uniquify" Not *their* office. Technically, you haven't even been lied to, you just let your imaginings get the better of you. That's what makes you so darn lovable.

Dear HashFast,
I see you still have not answered about this mysterious, but captivating twitter account deletion thing.
I'm sure you're too busy trying to flatten those chips to reach the required 28nm thickness, but when you have time, I'd still like to hear about your relationship with MarketAlchemy, which you were following on twitter, before it got deleted.
Cheers!

The more active the disinfo and info supression campaign is on something, the more closely you should watch it, because it runs a decent chance of being the next asicminer IPO, Avalon Batch #1, etc.

I expect many of the people shitposting will be the ones buying the most chips, albeit on different accounts.
