Anyone else having problems depositing BTCs? 9 Conformations and nothing showing up in the btct wallet.

Same problem - I'm at three confirmations right now, nothing showing in wallet. Burnside isnt in the business of stealing bitcoins, I'm only worried they dont get in before 4pm ET

Just to be clear: the times given are 4 PM EDT and 3 PM CDT, not EST and CST.  Just in case you someone is doing a conversion online they are not an hour off!

Swede: correct me if I'm wrong on this, but just wanted to fix your mistake to avoid later confusion!

I would have to ask burnside to be 100% certain but I am assuming 3 pm as being 1h 30 min from this post. There could do course have been a miss in communication but I do not believe so.

Edit: in my European-ness I did actually not realize that there was a difference between the two.

Its price is not a very relevant factor in its adoption....

So we have to rebid? I am at work and having no way to bid. I thought this was going to start at 8:00 pm est. The plans have changed so many times. Do I need to just bid at .001 or higher?

only at .001, and as much as you can. only bid volumes count up till the cap, which is still unknown.

The amount of shares in the IPO remains at 7 million. Only the distribution percentage per investor varies with bid volume (this is how I understand it). Total share volume remains also unchanged at 10 million shares.

Don't understand what this means. Last night I bid 1000 shares at .001 for 1 BTC. What does this mean for me now?

divide the total bid volume of ~15M by 7M, that is the ratio. multiply your bid volume with the ratio, and that is the number of shares you will get, each of them @ .001

Good things come to those who wait.

It depends on how many large BTC holders corrupt the distribution.

Yeah, I'm not able to add coins either.  This may be the way they're preventing people from over-bidding  Grin

Just temporally increase the number of confirmations needed to deposit BTC, and people can't then load up their account in order to inflate their share.

I don't think there is too much of a risk that you'll actually lose your BTC, if you have the transaction IDs and stuff. Just look up your deposit address on https://blockchain.info/

This never happened before. Why suddenly now?
1.5 hours before it ends should be plenty of time.
What if i'm excluded because of this?

It means that you will be included in the IPO. How many shares you get will be determined by how many people have bit at or above .001. All shares will be sold at .001.

If there are 20,000,000 shares on the orderbook at 4PM ET at or above .001, everyone will receive 35% of their number of shares on the order book at

20,000,000 on orderbook at or above .001
7,000,000 available shares
7,000,000 / 20,000,000 = .35

So, if you have an order for 1000, you will only receive 350 shares for BTC.35

The amount of btc flowing into BTCT is irrelevant, because only 7million shares will be distributed ... no matter what.

I also have a 6+ conf trx in limbo.

SO it seems the only way to get our bids in time is selling off other shares at insanely low price.

Not sure this is a long term winning strategy, as much for the exchange as for issuers and shareholders.

15M/7M = 2:1. My bid volume equals 1000 x 2 = 2000. So I will be getting 2000 shares? doesn't sound right. Do you mean divide by the ratio? All I care about is getting 1000 shares of the 7M or as close as I can.
