What do you think which will be the best alternative of bitcoin in 2018? Ethereum, Litecoin, Ripple, Verge or Zcash?

Ethereum because it is more tested and more popular more than any altcoins. An alternative to bitcoin must be trusted by the community and have a good credibility and that can be trusted even by big companies.

Following coins can give good returns like BTC this year:

1) ETH: I expect it to give better returns than bitcoins.

2) TRON: Price has reduced after main net and thus you can get for cheap.

Bitcoin though has a high transaction fee, is still a preferred mode of exchange among crypto and fiat. The immediate alternative for bitcoin in that sector is Ethereum as many tokens now use it's platform. We've also seen NEO as a mode but the one I loved most is BCH, they have lower fees and the transactions are faster.

I think the best alternative of bitcoin is Ethereum, Ethereum has a large community in the market and is now the second most popular after Bitcoin, I believe the future of ETH is very bright.

ETH is not exactly an alternative to Bitcoin. There is a lot of difference in the technology for both these coins. I would say that the alternative for Bitcoin includes coins such as Monero, Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Gold. Platforms such as Ethereum and Cardano can't be described as Bitcoin substitutes.

I don't think Bitcoin has any real alternatives. But if we talking investment wise Ehereum and NEO are the closest options for good return relatively small risk, in my opinion.

If you are thinking so far about to find the alternative for the bitcoin itself. AFAIK bitcoin fork coin just like bitcoin cash can become bitcoin alternatives but all of these tokens were started from the bitcoin and caused by the bitcoin problem with its scalability and then the more people try to make another improvement that planted in the new altcoin or blockchain.

Bitcoin also has its own alternative to being a coin that is very capable to rely on. because Bitcoin can go down at any time. but it would be great to have it when the market is over. because for alternatives will help us to get more profit in the future. so having it from the beginning will be very profitable.
