Nice to see Essentia desktop app, why high ram requirement though? 8gb is too much, can't run on my laptop, it only has 4gb of ram. it would be great if we can run with <4gb ram.

Don't blame Essentia, except maybe for using docker instead some lighter framework:

Docker is only a temporary solution - keep in mind that it is only a beta version of the product. The team's working hard to make the use of Essentia as simple as possible. The team wants to optimize every step - from the downloading and installation to the user experience overall. 😎

It will be uploaded soon, the development team is working hard on the code and they plan to open it on GitHub for users as soon as the main version of the framework goes live.

It is indeed! Essentia has a lot of code that the team are not publishing in order to avoid copycats.

The final goal of the framework is to facilitate uses with a full set of decentralized solutions which integrate the chain system and resources or services seamlessly. It protects users’ data and privacy via the user-friendly framework.

I realized that this is not just another idea or a proposition but a real and solid product and project. Love the concept that all of the dApps in one place, it would save the time for a lot of people and me included. Already an existing business and the company backing it up is really good. Nice product, nice idea, nice team.

  didn't know that Essentia is planning to launch mainnet. As I got from official info ESS holders can utilize computing power to earn tokens through Masternodes. How much tokens are required to launch it, anyone aware?
